Dunk Contest? Three Point Contest?

I have a few questions.

Can you pick any player to do them?

Do they have to be all stars that season?

Will you at least be able to be 1 guy on from each team?

Is the rookie/sophmore game diff every year?

Im sort of new and have been folowing the release from some time.

Im just worried that i wont be able to be a piston in the dunk or 3 point contes!

I got my answer.

Dunk has to be over 80 to enter and 3 point can be with anybody.

I'm assuming that you mean these events during your dynasty season..

No, if your player is good enough, he will get an invite for all events (including the rook game and asg)

I doubt it. I'm 99% sure that players like gerald wallace and fred jones will get offers for the dunk comp, and they are hardly all stars.

You know what, thats a good question. I wonder if you can participate despite none of your players making the event.

It will have different players, but the style would be the same, very arcadish, just like in real life.

they have already said that if you dont have a player in the event it skips the event. so no you have to have a player get selected to do it.

my question is, will be be able to watch(highly doubt it) or atleast get the simmed results for a skipped event.

btw your players get invited, they dont just play. if you dont check your pda you might miss and invite.

Well, if you modify the rating, you can take anyone into the contest but will it be fun???

You can't really take anyone into the contest after modifying their dunk stats because the player needs to have an 80 in jump aswell and must be under 7'0.

Oh cool so you get invites... ok thats cool.

I guess you can really get any player you want an invite if you play every game and do good with the one player you want invited. lol.

yeah i guess you could try to make one player constantly nail 3's or constantly dunk and try to get an invite. i wonder though, with the 3 point contest is it more based on % or more based on overall 3's made? i found that too often in 2004 when my player was wide open and had a great rateing in 3's he would miss. i think they was due to the speed cheat but i aint sure. anyway i hope they keep track of stats to show what players you have had that were in these contests and thier outcomes. myself i am a huge stat junky, i only wish all game were as indepth with stats as gta.
