Dynasty Practice

Why is there no practice mode in Dynasty :?: . Its all fine and dandy when ur in the 1st couple seasons, but when u have cpu created rookies that u cant practice with, you have to learn there strengths/weaknesses in game, which is very annoying. This is so simple WHY IS IT NOT IN THE GAME ALREADY :?:

Another thing which is DESPERATE for improvement is the passing. My suggestion would be to add an on demand bounce pass, maybe if u hold pass button (slightly) u do a bounce pass, and if u tap it, u get normal (which would be that.... pass 2 either team BS) pass.

I see where you are goign with the practice mode, sorta like a shootaround thing, so you know their range and that type of thing.

With the passing, instead of hold is bounce and tap is normal, how about tap is a slower pass, like a lob or bounce pass, and hold is a fast pass. This way passing is no longer like the current system with little or no deflections.

Also, i'm not sure if it has been suggested already but how about instead of just 1 on 1, put in a pick up game thingy, where you can choose the amount of ppl per team and you can pick the teams. So you can have anything from 5 on 5 too 1 on 1 pick up games.

FInally i KNOW this has been suggested but i want to emphisize....OPTIMIZE NBA LIVE 2005 FOR THE PC....I HATE these low res menu screens where fantasy draft you only see 3 players at a time. Either put more effort into it or if you need more time then forgo this annual output and give yourself more time. I rather wait a year more to get a much superior product than wait year after year for little tweaks.

with the rookies what i do now is export the ones i draft and some unsigned rookies and 2nd year fa's to a roster file with a db editor, then i put my rookies plus eight of the others on my team, and ten on charlotte's team and play exhibition games with them. i've actually found for the first time that some of those players that just sit on injured reserve all year on my team may actually be decent players even though their ratings aren't that good.

i had a small forward i released after never playing him, but put him on the team with my rookies and found out that although he couldn't dribble, his first step was unstoppable and he was going past everyone, and he had an effective mid range shot, so in my dynasty i picked him back up and he can still go to the hoop at will against anyone.

now i'm even trying to get enough simulated rookies from a different franchise to start a 28 game league similar to the nbdl, and see if i can work that into my regular franchise as players improve or get worse, and also to get a chance to look at other players that i would normally overlook.

this won't replace the option to practice with players which i am also for, but putting them on an exhibition roster will give you at least a chance to test them out.

Sounds like fun jwin. (Y) All the more reason to bring back the old "Export Rosters" feature that was available in NBA Live 96. I can't remember if it was in any other NBA Live, but in NBA Live 96 you could save your season's rosters as the default. Such a feature in today's Live games would be very handy.
