Removing portraits?

Has anyone perhaps got any clue how you could batch remove all portraits from the game? Wasn't there an editor back then for Live 05? Maybe it was possible through that?

I don't recall that ever being possible. The only way to do it would be to create a blank portrait texture for everyone that matches their PLAYERPKG.

So just to apply a blank portrait to everyone? And would that be in some way doable in an automated way?

No, you'd have to do it manually. That is to say, you'd only need the one blank portrait texture (the original one is fine), but you'd need to copy and rename it to match every player in the roster's PLAYERPKG. That would involve both editing the name of the .big file, and hex editing the names of the files within the .big, in order to match everyone's PLAYERPKG data. Every player would need to be using that custom blank portrait file - properly renamed - and there's no way to set that up quickly or automatically.

...wow.
At that point, you may as well just get PNGs of the new players in your roster with the backgrounds removed. Ok, thanks.
