Next thing, they're going to release NBA Live 2005 Service Pack #2:

Fixes

1) adds multi-colored headbands - rainbow!
2) adds eye-color to player creation - man, what I've been begging for all along
3) GM gets up and walks around the room in Dynasty mode when you're signing a player.

Actually, we'll be lucky to get that. They may try to sell that as an "expansion pack. "

I just installed the patch and my game froze in a cut scene. It has never frozen before, and I've been playing since the day it was released. I'm going to back up my rosters and SGSM folder and reinstall without the bloody thing. The game was fine before the patch.

Like i said before, EA has released a bug patch. Yes it has flaws, u cant save stats until the game is over. If u save stats before game is over it only saves playername, number and position.

I uninstalled then reinstalled. I replaced the sgsm folder with my old one. It froze again. :shock:

I don't know if the patch did something to the sgsm folder, but looks like I'll try again, but redo all my face/jersey/shoe patches from scratch.

I read that only 3 files are affected/modified after installing the official Patch:

Code: Select all: FOLDER: \ BEFORE: 11/10/2004 00:02 9.892.894 nba2005.exe AFTER : 29/11/2004 15:57 9.896.991 nba2005.exe FOLDER: \fe BEFORE: 10/10/2004 15:53 68.122.944 screens.viv AFTER : 22/11/2004 17:38 68.042.112 screens.viv FOLDER: \sgsm\common BEFORE: 05/10/2004 14:03 378.665 xshoes.viv AFTER : 22/11/2004 17:13 1.170.318 xshoes.viv

Check if you have these files modified to be sure the patch is correctly installed. Maybe somebody can zip these three files and share it (which I think it won't be illegal).

How do we know if we have the patch or not? it said successfully installed. but i don't notice anything different?

for an exsample if you're doin your subs during a game there's a
"change stat" (smth. like that) buton in the down left corner and you
can use that to take a look at the current game stats...

originally you could see only the ratings

Ok I manually tried to install the patch and this is the error I'm getting:

Code: Select all: Old file not found. However,a file of the same name was found. No updates done since file contents do not match.

WTF does that mean, I have a legal copy too?
