a few comments on the 84-85 roster patch. I'm not critisizing, as I know I could never be able to make a roster patch, I would love to know how, but I would never have the time. But there are a few things I think could improve the roster patch, I dont know if it is possible but here goes,...
1) when I simulated the season to test it out none of the players averaged very high points per game. Wilkings/ Jordan/ Bernard king / Larry Bird and a few others all averaged between 27-30 points a game that season, but in the patch only averaged 15-20 points. No one in the simulated season averaged more than 22 points a game. I tried adjusting the primacy of the main scorer on each team but it did not deam to help much. Is their any way to edit the teams so they have more realistic offenses so that their best guys shoot more? other stats were more realistic, as the rebounds were pretty good and the assist leaders were good but the averages were a little low.
2) This would be awsome and blow away all other patches. I have seen that some people have been able to add their own m,usic to the game. So how about an 84-85 roster patch with actual music from that time? Even though 80's music is kinda cheezey is would be cool to have in the game. I wanna hear Thriller rockingh the areana when I go in for the Jam.
3) Finnaly any hopes at any other 80's seasons? My vote would be for the 1988 season, possible the NBA"s greatest. I dont know if any of you read SLAM MAGAZINE, but they did a whole retro issue on that season because of its awsomness.
3a)The lakers re-peat fot the first time and te first time anyone had done it in 19 seasons
3b) the Celtics had the BIG THREE and Larry Bird who average 29.9 pnts per game that year and won the 3-point shoot out.
3c) the Hawks had a great year winning 50 games, it was the year of Nique's classic duel with Bird in the playoffs and with Jordan in the dunk contest. Wilkins average 30.7 a game
3d) The bulls were on the verge of contending, Jordan had a great year winning MVP and defensive player of the Year averaged 35 a game and won the dunk contest and the bulls won 50 games
also the pistons made it to the finals and almost won, the JAZZ were a up and comming power, BARKLEY average 28.3 and Drexler and Olajuwon and Ewing and Stockton were reaching their Prime. Rookies included Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, Kenny Smith, Greg " cadillac" Anderson Regie Miller, Kevin Johnson, Tyrone Bouges, Mark Jackson(rookie of the year) Reggie Lewis, David Robinson (Ok not really cause he went to the navy but I'm willing ot overlook that) and everyone's favorite police impersonator Olden Polynice
all right I'm done begging, thanks
