The overall rating is significant in trades, but otherwise doesn't determine how good a player is. Simmons' current ratings are pretty accurate for the simulation engine and gameplay performance - I don't like to boost ratings just to up the overall.

Hi Andrew ,
I'd want you to notice that Josh Smith have 1.79 average in Blocks and in the last 3 macth have 4-4-3 Block per Game.....
Ranks #12 in the NBA in Blocks Per Game
Ranks #9 in the NBA in Blocks Per 48 Minutes(3.86)
And he Have 511% field Gold

Gordon stats...
Ranks #5 in the NBA in Three-Point Field-Goal Percentage(0.455)

Thanks....

Yes, your point about Josh Smith has already been well made. ;) I upped Gordon's shooting in the last update but judging by some of his recent performances and his season percentage, a higher rating is probably in order.

For sure, he really seems to be nailing the 3s consistently the last couple of months.

Alright, last night me and Andrew decided that only one of the Jordan cyberfaces will be included with his Roster Patch. Aka, install of the patch will be more simple, no messing around with options, and it also wouldnt boost the file size too much.

The rest of Jordan Decade will be released at the same time as a separate download at NLSC. Yes, along with Jeffrey Jordan which has been requested from me through private messages for a while now.

@Sit: Mid 2000s cyberface, as Ive explained under Announcements, is based on the rumours that were high during september. Stories were around that Michael might return to the court in Miami Heat uniform, just because he wants to play more and cant stay away from the game. Of course these rumours were wrong, this was all about some pickup games were Michael and other NBA players wanted to participate in, and which turned out to be one helluva rumour. Nevertheless, since its Live 2005 perhaps there are people who want a very experienced man on their bench, for the purpose of fun if anything else.

Jeff Foster - he's playing well, his scoring and rebounding should go up, as should quickness and offensive rating

Wade - Speed and quick down a bit, strength down a lot (45?), dunk down a bit - he's really a monster

Nene - last year he was quite good (i'm not sure about this year), maybe his rating should go up a little

Nailon - he's playing really well this year

Spree and Cassell - they are terrible this year, maybe a little decrease should be in place

What about 3P ratings
Stojakovic an Allen are at 93 and 92? That's too high
Korver at 89? and others also...

Postby unicorn on Wed Jan 19, 2005 12:54 pm

Sir Andrew,

Re: Opening Night Rosters
Bruno Sundov number should be 14 not 41
Eddie Griffin number should be 41 not 33
Shandon Anderson should be at the Knicks Opening Night Roster

Great update as always. Thanks.

Lee Nailon has been playing well, but he's not worthy of being the best player on the Hornets. His ratings don't need such a boost.

Dan Dickau needs better shooting, speed, and quickness, as well as stamina.

Nene needs a DAware just above Camby's. Before KMart got there, he was always guarding the best post player. He still does quite often.

If there's one thing Nikoloz Tskitishvilli can do, it's shoot. 70s FG, low 60s 3 pt.

Kedrick Perkins needs a steal boost to at least above 40. I would say 50s...his steals per 48 are 3.75, that's misleading because of the scant minutes played, but he's a *very* good thief for a big man. Also DAware should be somewhere in the high 60s, low 70s, he's done a very good job on the defensive end.

Marcus Banks needs a DAware in the 70s (excellent, physical defender). He should also have a speed in the 90s; he's top 3 of the fastest players in the NBA.With that being said, Leandrinho (sp) Barbosa of the Suns is just as fast as Banks, so also increase his speed.

Mikael Pietrus needs a DAware in the 80s, no kidding. He's a terrific defender.

David Harrison should be on the uninjured roster over Eddie Gil. He (Harrison) needs a higher FG, OAware, Block (not too much), and Strength (~5 pt increase).

How does Luke Walton get a strength of 74, inside scoring of 62, and DReb also of 62? All those need a decrease, but his OAware should be in the 70s.

Jumaine Jones needs an increase in OReb (~5-10), Reb (~10), OAware (~8), DAware (~15-20, good defender), and stamina (~10). Decrease of hardiness to around 50.

Medvedenko needs a FG around 70, DReb needs to be lowered to about 65 (same with strength)...inside scoring to 55 (he does everything from mid ranged jump shots).

Christian Lattner needs a FG of 68, while Haslem's needs to go down to around 64.

JR Smith needs a FG and 3 pt in the 60s. He doesn't take the best shots (which lowers his FG and 3 pt% in real life), but he has a wonderful stroke and shot. Up his quick about 5, and lower his strength to the high 40s.

Sounds reasonable FanOfAll. (Y)

Anyways, i think Shawn Marion needs a bit of a rating shuffle up. He doesn't quite play like Marion in gameplay. Here's what i think should change. (These may have been suggested already, i haven't read the previous page at all. :shifty:)

Speed and Quickness. At the moment it's at 75 and 73. He's a fast break machine, always running. An athletic freak. I think he should have 80 speed, and 77 quickness.

Defensive awareness. At the moment it's at 62. Marion is a better defender than Joe Johnson, and Joe's DA rating is huge (a bit overrated i think) So i think Marion should deserve at boost in this catogary. Not sure what exactly though, anybody wanna help out there?

Block. He is averaging almost 1.5 blocks per game in the NBA. That's solid. He should have a rating where he can block layups. I'd say 55 or so.

Jump. An absolute athletic freak. His jump rating is 78 at the moment. Realisticly it should be about 90, but i think his overall will jump a bit too high if that were to happen. So say, 84.

I'm with Nick....Marion is probably the key to the Suns success (after Nash of course)....Marion is a complete player.

As I said a few posts before yours, most likely this Sunday; and indeed, I have. ;) Details in the new support thread.

I've noted the latest suggestions but I'd already released v1.05, so they'll be in v1.06, which will probably be released in two weeks time (or perhaps a little earlier if I spot an error or make some significant updates and improvements before then).
