get it live 05 or wait to get live 06.... that is the ?

this is my story

i first got nba live 2002 for my ps2. i liked it at first but now looking back at it, its not the best. ive been buying ea sports ever since i was playin my super NES.

in 2003 i wanted to get live 03 thinking it would be an upgrade from live 02. after reading reviews and talkin to ppl live 03 wasnt worth me buying it. so i didnt.

same thing happened to me for buying 04. ppl said it was good. im a little cheap so i waited till the game was a little cheaper (i work at wendys making min. wage lol  ) so b4 buyin 04 i wanted to check out info on live 05 just to c wut might b comin. im a first timer on this site and im glad i found it  .

im a big dynasty junkie. every live editoin has that stupid free agent logic and points system instead of real money. ex. 4years/300,000. i really dont like that. so when i heard that live 05 will be changing all that, adding all star weekend and many other features i have decided to wait and buy live 05. i dont mind spending the money on something i know i will appreciate.

now here is the question...we all know that every year live gets better, but where do i stop? i dont know if i should buy live 05 or wait till live 06. some plz give me direction lol. i know that there is no info on live 06 (obviously). back in 03 i thought live 03 was the best thing ever, but thats the same i think about live 05.

i just need some direction.

btw. has anyone gone thru the same problem as i have? or is it just me?

do you have to put your money up,for college.rent...etc.?

if not then i suggest you get Live 2005....and then save up during the yr.,put like 20 dollas off when you get your check..and then use the rest for other things....

thats what i do,and i make min. wage..but i work at the movies..i bring in about $150 on a long houred week(working every day long hours)..but it's usually $105 and some change.

it's not that hard depending on how much you make...but with me i always put some money on the side, for college.and then some money to my mom for rent(depending on the check)..and then from there i see what i can work out with the cash.

personally I think you should buy 2005, and 2006(when it comes out), because I THINK minimum wage should be enough for a videogame. But it's really your choice.

I say buy 2005. At least it has good agent logic, and hopefully good enough to last you until 06 or 07.

thank you all for ur replies

i am savin for university and bring in about 175/week. so i have been thinking about putting money away for savings.

i think i will buy live 05. money isnt the problem, im just more of a 'bang for your buck' person. thats why i didnt buy live 03 or 04.

thank you for ur suggesitions, it was much appreciated.

but has n e one gone thru wut i have done...hold off for a better version of live?

This year is the 10th anniversary of nbalive. U may skip buying LIve06 but dont ever miss Nbalive 2005 beco'z this is going to be the best of EAsports. From graphics, gameplay, sound/commentary, franchise mode & the all-star weekend, these game is magnificent....

I am willing to bet anyone here if LIVE2005 will be a failure.. EA did everything to satisfy all basketball afficionados.

If you will skip this game, it's like missing half of your happy moments...

MORE POWER TO EASPORTS TEAM!!!

Yeah, I'm that way too. I only have Live 95, 98, and 2001. I bought 2004 last year, but I waited to long... my comp was too slow to run it. So this year with a new comp, I'm ready for 2005.

From what I've heard, that dynasty is much better, but they have a lot of plans to improve it in the future. It all depends on if you are willing to keep playing the same crappy dynasty in past Lives.

As most people would probably expect, I'm suggesting not to wait until NBA Live 2006 if you have the means to pick up NBA Live 2005. Especially if you enjoyed NBA Live 2004. It looks like a lot of our complaints and pet peeves have been addressed in addition to all the new stuff that's found its way into the game (some stuff that has been on the annual Wishlists no less).

I'm sure some of the hype is giving us some unrealistically high expectations (after all, the way you play NBA Live does have an effect on the realism) but if the game is as good as advertised I don't think many people will be disappointed.

If you buy a game or rent a movie or read a book expecting it to be 100% perfect, you're probably going to be disappointed. Similarly, if you buy a game, rent a movie or read a book with the mindset that it's going to be terrible, you won't be disappointed.
