What I would really like:

Exhibition (or Play Now as it's called these days)
1 on 1
3 Point Contest
Dunk Contest
Season
Playoffs
Dynasty/Franchise
All-Star Game/Rookie-Sophomore Game (with the ability to select the players; this could probably just be incorporated into Exhibition Mode)
Practice (just the one mode, with drills and so forth being practice options)

What I'm expecting:

Exhibition
1 on 1
Season
Playoffs
Dynasty
Individual Practice

I'd like a more in-depth practise, but I'd settle for just having those modes, as long as Dynasty Mode is improved. I don't think it will be exactly like previous incarnations of Dynasty/Franchise mode though.

if they have the practice mode in the dynasty then it would be cool. like it will give u a selection to have a team practice after you finishing playing your game. you can also pick how long you would want the practice to last and what to work on in practice and let you control the players instead of watching them.

Talk about training during season... That was a total waste of dynasty points to begin with... With almost every configuration on the Live 04 training sheit a guy or two would get a +1/+2 to a stat or maybe even two. Rest of them would just get lower... It was something nice to keep up the challenge in the game as you could lower your guys via training... But there basically was no benefit to it at all.

I can't even fathom the guys who accepted the training model as it was in Live 04... It was just horrible...

I suggested some time last winter that the training points would accumulate to all the stats during the season and if a certain total during the season was reached the guy would get an upgrade to that one rating. The totals would be resetted during the summer and normal advances would be made from summer workouts. This would only represent the training done during the season. And the lower the rating the easier it would be to improve. So that you would have a tough time improving good ratings, and easier time improving bad ratings. And the training could have some sort of multipliers for this improvement. Like if you had a center player and you'd push for improvement on the shooting end and you'd put 40 points on the shooting stuff. A center would get Field goals x1, Three pointer x.25, Free throws x.75, Inside scoring x1.5, Dunking x1.5 times the 40 points.

So the center would advance as follows:
Field goals +40
Three pointers +10
Free throws +30
Inside scoring +60
Dunking +60

And if you had a guy with Dunking rated at 70, you'd need like 200 of these points to improve that. And once the improvement is made (to 71) the score for that ability would be resetted back to 0 and you'd need like 220 points to improve it further... Or something like that. It should be something like 600 points for a rating of 90 or more so you'd really have to concentrate on that to improve it. But with Shaq for example the 3 point shooting could be increased from 0 to 1 with 50 points or something.

So you'd need 3-4 such training sessions to improve it during the season. It would be pretty hard to accomplish, but it would make it beneficial in the end and it would encourage players of actually playing the games and going for the dynasty points.

You could actually make a difference with these and it would pay-off in the end. You wouldn't see much results during the first couple of training sessions, but in the end you'd see good results.

1-on-1
3-on-3
Dynasty mode

And games I'd like to see/play withing dynasty mode
-All-star game
-Rookie all-star game
-Rookie draft camp game/s (or the possibility of playing a practice match during the season where you could decide who is playing on either side from your team (maybe like for a 5 minute period))
-Summer league (you could test out the back ups and drafted rookies)
-Maybe even a dunk contest as part of the all-star weekend

i would also love for them to make an NBDL mode where you can create your own player and go into the NBL and if you perform well, you can get on a NBA team. i would love to see that on a game like live instead of a game like nba shootout

I would like to have much deeper practice mode, something you can really practice your skill with. Like running plays, battle for rebounds, passing accuracy, shooting accuracy or freethrow accuracy.

If you got any info, do tell us please! No in-game screenshots and no movies after E3, it's so disappointing...... Anyway i hope EA is keeping some sort of secrets cuz they don't want ESPN to steal their wonderful new revolutionary feature..

EA always run out of time and leave bunch of bugs in the game. I would rather they stop adding new features and tweaking and debugging the game.

I hope thay have team practice, like ESPN, where you pick a team and any player from that team while in practice mode.

actually i am concerning more about the game modes for multiplayers game.

it's not a good multiplay system for live 2004.

I hope they include the following modes in live 2005 regarding the multiplayer games.

- Team Play (play with the same team and against the CPU, it's just a basic idea for sports game)

- 2 or more players joining the game (imagine how awesome that you can play with you REAL teammates or oponents)

- Mini-games (playing 3-points shootout, dunk contest and anyother kinds of games) (only applied if they include those mini-games in regular mode)

For the single player mode, i would like to see a REAL practise in season / dynasty with dribbling, passing, shooting, free parctise, defending, rebounding, etc.

however, this probably is my dream only, they've disappointed me every year .....

Team Practice - this would be great, the starters VS the bench, defensive 5 VS Fast 5, etc.

Pick Up Game - This could be 1-on-1, 2-on-2, etc and you get to pick the players. An interesting idea would have "Rating Limits" on your pick up team. Say the limit is 200 pts and youre playing a 5-on-5 game, you select players and their ratings would add up until you reach 200 pts. This prevents the user from selecting a purely all-star team and provides more of a challenge. Of course, we'd have the ability to change this setting.

I like the idea of drills, just like Preseason Camp in Madden.

Here is my idea.
give back the ability to push other players when you don't have the ball like in nba live 2003 and before. that way you could play a 2v2 game with no fouls like in the arcade games like nba jam. i really loved those games.

What I Want
1. Better practice mode
2. 1on1 2on2 3on3
3. The whole All Star weekend mode
4. Mini Camp mode
5. This not really a mode but MVP Baseball makes it fill like one a better "task list". With more things to accomplish and more things to do.
6. Maybe a couple of small many games. if not non are put in.
7. Maybe a big game mode like 24/7 or something similar to it.
