If your PC's specs are worthy, I'd recommend the PC version for the patches and the ability to edit the rosters outside the game by modifying the DBF files.

It depends on how good your PC is. If you have a powerful P4 3G cpu and graphic card like Geforce FX 5900, you should get the PC version because you get much much better graphic and loads of patches to make the game even better. If you only have a Pentium3 PC you should definitely go with PS2 version.

I have a great PC and a PS2, i will get LIVE 05 for PC and ESPN NBA 2K5 for PS2, it's going to be a fun year.~~~

no console can compare to a pc so the choice is always clear. only reason imo to buy console games is if they are console exclusive or come out on the console many monthes earlier(gta anyone?).

The grapics usually looks much crisper and more polished on the PC version. Plus you get to download and install all sorts of patches... that in itself adds a little replay value to the game. And if you have a dual analog gamepad, you can have the best of both worlds

The last Live I played for PC was 2001. Sucked. The last of any Live I played was 2002 for PS2, sucked. The last Live game that I liked was 2000 for PC. I was forever converted into a 2K fan...........until I just recently played Live 2004 on the PC.

I just got an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro to play Doom3 (X800 is too damn expensive) and copped Live 04 for the hell of it, maybe hoping for a little bit of nostalgia of the 99 and 2000 games I loved so much. I have to say that I'm loving this game. It runs ultra smooth even at the highest resolution on my PC (looks 10x sharper than PS2), and with all of these patches, I'm in love.

So having this game for about a week, I'm having so much fun, and am constantly checking the sites for updates on 2005. SO.......if you ghot the specs, get it for PC!!!! I'm back Live, sorry I left ya, but you sucked from 2001-2003, lol.

PC by far.

The ps2 can't compete with even mid-level PCs as far as gaming goes. I don't even have a bleeding edge machine and I have no problems playing any game on the PC at jawdropping speed levels, and the graphics are all MUCH better than the PS2 or Xbox.

Sure, I spent over $1k building this system, but as far as games go, it's a bloodletting machine, and I can do anything else I need, from biz apps to 3d Bryce/Poser rendering to everything else a computer should do.

A PS2 is a specialized and limited machine. A basic NBA Live2k5 capable machine (much better/faster than any PS2) should cost less than $400 to anyone (and $300 to anyone with a little tech saavy).

I can't wait to try Madden 2005 and Live 2005 on this rig. I've been debating about the video card for awhile, but I decided to go with the ATI card in the end. IMHO, ATI makes Direct 3D games look a lot better than Nvdia. But, if I'm not happy with it--I have 30 days to return it to best buy and i'll get the BFG Geforce 6800 GT OC.

By the way, the best version will be the PC!

Damn, that was funny. Anyway, I think it depends on what kind of gamer you are. Common sense would probably tell us that PC is the way to go. Better graphics and patches, patches, patches galore make it a good choice..........

But what if you're a gamer who like playing with friends? Every year my friends and I play an NBA Live tournament. We create our own teams, have a draft, and a 50 game season that leads to the NBA Finals where we determine the champ. It's hard to imagine 3-8 dudes all crowded around my monitor........

Also, what do you prefer? I'm a console guy through and through (XBox), though, seeing the almost endless replay value of the PC version through patches makes me think about changing religions. It all depends on what you want out of NBA Live and how and where you play it. Do you play more 1 player than multi player? Etc. etc. etc..........

I picked PS2 because I will start out with PS2 and sooner or later buy the PC version if I got enough money.
