jump ball when both players tie the ball up

Fri Jun 11, 2004 4:53 pm

nba live 2005 needs jump ball when ever 2 players go for the ball and grab it at the same time. this will really make the game more realler to play. the jump ball can be from anywhere on the court where the 2 players both went and grab the ball at the same time. the referee would have to throw the ball up to make this really like the nba.

it's quite nice to have it in game

but i am worrying that the EA will overdo it.
just like what in Live 2003 - players will jump out of bound for chasing the ball (but infact it's not necessary for every time...)

jumpball would be nice but like "gut" said as long as they dont overdue it. i dont want to have like ten jumpballs every game :scold:

Jump balls and loose ball fouls are two missing elements that would definitely improve the game. I've found that my big men don't seem to get into foul trouble all that often. Some calls away from the ball and on loose balls would be an ideal solution that would add a little more realism - as long as they weren't overdone.

The same goes for jump balls. As gut and havasufalls already said, too many would be unrealistic and very frustrating. I'd like to be able to tie the ball up when a player dives to the floor for a loose ball. While they're sitting up looking for a teammate to pass to, I'd like to be able to force a jump ball. It shouldn't occur too often elsewhere, as it would be a little too random.

They need sliders to control jump balls. The same with loose-ball fouls. They should have a slider.

That's true, sliders should be effective in controlling those elements of the game should they be implemented.
