A new version (v3.7) of the NLSC Current Roster Update for NBA Live 2005 is now available to download here (roster only version here). The rosters in the update are accurate as of May 31st 2010, see below or check out the release thread for full details.

Pretty awesome, but I wanted to inquire about something.

I got this error today, after completing the game, and then saving/exiting.



I don't know why, but the game crashes when I try to simulate past the win against the Pacers.

This sometimes happens with NBA Live 2005. Try reloading the rosters before you load your Dynasty.

But why some team's draft pick is the other team's pick ?
for example,portland's 1st round & 2nd round pick are the pick of Sacramento Kings.
Is there any solution ?

Not sure, that's not happening for me; are you sure the CPU didn't trade picks? Try copying the default tmcareer.dbf file from the origdb folder to the roster save folder, that usually corrects that problem if it occurs.

I used your method,but it is failed.
I try to simulate for one season until the draft day coming,
I find out what I saw is just a wrong name at trade page,
at the draft day, there are right at their own place.
for example,
if I use Portland playing dynasty mode,
I see my draft pick appear on SAC King's name,
if the season standing of portland is number 1, Sacramento is the last.
It means the place of POR is 30th & 60th pick,and SAC have 1st & 31th pick.
If I saw my pick are SAC's pick,then the draft day comes,I should get SAC's No.1 pick & 31 pick(if SAC drawed the first pick),
but the result POR's pick is still 30th & 60th.
So it's just the wrong name,
Here's the wrong I see:
Oklahoma get Orlando's
Orlando get Philadephia's
Philadephia get Phoenex's
Phoenix get Portland's
Portland get Sacramento's
Sacramento get San Antonio's
San Antonio get Oklahoma's
that's all I saw at trade in dynasty.
I guess it is related to the name change of Seattle to Oklahoma, so this team's pick are worng ...
How to modify it ?

Like I said, I really don't know what's wrong. When I last tested the roster, it worked fine. Usually copying the default tmcareer.dbf file does the trick so I'm not sure what else to suggest at this time.

Andrew,any idea why Rondo's headband won't show up ? I went to the Edit Player menu,it says that he has Team Headband,but it won't show up anywhere.

It's an issue with his headshape, which is taken from NBA Live 08. I can't edit headshapes/headband shape files, so I'm afraid I can't fix that up unless I'm provided with updated files.

Nba-live.com is the best site for these games. I love the constant updates you guys do!
I have a question - is there a way to set the team strategy, so you don't have to change it every game, from the default one?

Also, can I adjust the ages of players, so they are the correct ones? I have all my players being 5 years younger, than they're right now.

Unfortunately you've got to alter those settings before each game.

Try out the Age Fix included with the rosters. The year of birth will be wrong but the game will recognise the players as being their correct ages at the start of Dynasty Mode. Unfortunately there's no way to change the default starting year in Dynasty Mode so that's the only workaround we have.

the quicken loans arena isn't showing up... or is it not in the update?

the court selection screen says quicken loans though.

There's no Cavs court update in the roster. I have updated the location.dbf file with all the current arena names though so that the in-game text is correct.

I noticed something weird.. Shawn Marion's rating is 91 He was never that good, especially now. I'd say he's in the 70's. And Rondo should be at least 80 if the ratings matter.

Overall ratings aren't nearly as important as a lot of people believe. Athletic players and in particular prolific dunkers often have overall ratings that are a bit higher than expected because of the way the game calculates the overalls (which also differs greatly in NBA Live 2005 compared to 06-08). The individual ratings are ultimately much more important.

i try to install it,and i did..but,when i'm about 2 play it the NBA Live 2005.exe,
it won't work..it said, "Pls insert the correct NBA Live 2005 disk."
can u help me? Pls.
