I wonder if...

...Drazen Petrovic will be in the game, possibly as a member of an European All-Star All-Time team. Or WHEREVER. Well, c'mon people... He's a Hall of Famer, the third on the list of the best 3-point shooters of all time (NBA), he once scored 112 points in former Yugoslavian league, the second strongest in the world,... He's the European Michael Jordan, just with far more bigger influence.

And also other players. It's kinda funny that we're not playing with kinds like Adrian Dantley, George Mikan and other players who were the greats of their time.

Gals, I meant bigger influence in Europe. If you've been to any of the Eastern European countries or even in the west, you would notice that quite a few players have Drazen for their idol. Well, Croatia and other countries of the former Yugoslavia, that a whole different story . Of course, MJ was popular in the USA, he was 'the' man, Air America, but he has never achieved the Drazen's level of popularity in his own backcourt as Petrovic had. Drazen is a national superhero. More than a hero - after the '92 Olympics when Croatian won their first medal as an independant nation, he was way, way more popular than any of the presidents they ever had. Nowadays, 11 years after his death, Croatian magazine Kosarka (a la Slam) still has five to ten refferences to Drazen in each issue. When he died, a huge procent of Croatians attended his funeral.

The loss particularly stunned European fans. It’s hard for you to imagine here in America, because you have so many great players, his brother told the New York Daily News. But we are a country of four million. Without him, basketball takes three steps back.

http://www.drazenpetrovic.com or if there's someone with ESPN Insider: http://insider.espn.go.com/insider/magazine/story?id=1843021.

BTW, MJ is my favourite player :D.

I don't think he'll be in the game. I believe the international All-Star team will be comprised of current NBA players while former NBA players such as Petrovic, Sabonis and Schrempf won't be included.
