Question

Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.

Question

Postby ReggieMiller31 on Thu Jul 01, 2004 5:09 am

Hey guys,

I dont know if any of you remember me, but I have been a live fan since it started, and used to post here back from like 96 till around 99 or 2000. I then fell in love with the NBA Inside Drive series and created a site for ID. With the cancelling of ID, I was out of one of my games, and since I only had a XBOX for ID, I sold it.

Anyways, I had tried Live every year for the last 4 or 5 years, but just didnt really like it. I am tired of no basketball games, and with my new lap-top, I decided to re order NBA Live 2004 :D

I have a few question about the upcoming Live 2005, and forgive if these are stupid questions, but I have been gone a while

1. Can you trade draft picks now?

2. Can you make trades during the draft

3. Are points still used, or is actuall NBA salarys used

4. How is the cpu trading logic

Thanks

you CAN trade draft picks,

you CAN NOT trade during the draft, or trade draft rights, until the draft is over

Points ARE used, but are equal to the dollar

the cpu trading logic is GOOD, and occasionally they'll try to cheat you

Not quite...

I think the questions were for NBA Live 2005 and we don't really know much info on it, but except trading draft picks to be there.

You can trade draft picks in NBA Live 2004, so I assume it will be the same in NBA Live 2005. I don't know about trades during the draft and better trade logic, but NBA Live 2005's Dynasty Mode is supposed to be greatly improved, so I remain cautiously optimistic. NBA Live will never have real salaries until the NBA allows them to do so - I wouldn't hold my breath.

Probably they don't want that the game shows how much the players are earning every year. They also don't allow T's.

The NBPA is behind all this... They are the ones that withold information from us... It was the same with EA's hockey games, in the beginning they were forbidden to have fights in the game, and when they were eliminated they were limited to one per game... Now you can control it a little bit, but usually three fights is what you can get... I haven't really toyed around with the sliders that much in NHL.

Real salaries would be welcomed... It's not that the information isn't there for anyone to see in the internet, but it's more of that NBPA doesn't want them to be in the games... I'd really like to see some salary system that would describe the true situation better than the one we have today.

Let's just say, that thank god for Andrew and the other patch makers. They get the salaries right and it's only on PC... You can't patch with the consoles, atleast not yet.
