I'd say there are still some people interested in it. Current rosters for the upcoming season would probably top the list.

Hi man!
I've read your question about helping with your nt big patch. I can't help you there. My own patches need tooooooooo much time. Moreover I'm only interested in the NBA.
To the question about NBA Live 2004. Personally, I own my almost 5 years old notebook with Intel mobile 1,8 Ghz and ATI X700 128MB. So that limits especially the gaming part. Live 06 was the last PC based version I've tried. It was working, but I didn't like it. NBA Live 2004 (especially when modified) can be better. For example, the control of the game. Different buttons for dunking/layer and shooting and the right analog stick (I use Logitech dual action game pad) for dribbling moves (EA promotes that feature for Elite 11!!!) and a very direct way of controlling every move, shoot, etc. It's definitely more action based than the current other games. If the sliders are optimized towards least blocks, etc, it's a very nice mixture of action and simulation. When patched (like I did), the simulation part is amazing. When simulating a season all players are producing their stats of 2009-2010. I've never played a game that was able to do that (without patch!). So it's kind of management game. Moreover, after patching, the strengths of players are more obviously than in many other games. That's because, EA and 2K are concentrating on graphics, A.I. and core parts of the game. In my eyes, the attributes of players are often neglected.
Plus historic players. Without any patch one can play with most of the best players between 1950-2000. Only important player that lacks is Kareem Abdul Jabbar. By the way, the feature of playable historic players is promoted for NBA 2K11...
Personally, I own a PS3 with NBA 2K9 and downloaded the demos of NBA Live 2010, NBA Elite 11, NBA 2K10, NBA 2K11. So I'm really up-to-date. But anyhow, the game I play and, of course patch, is my NBA Live 2004. I don't know if it's love for the game. It's just my favourite game (with GTA San Andreas, PC).
Continue playin' it for many years...

C ya

I've always been a big Live 2004 fan. 2004 is arguably the best Live series, and it wasn't until I found this forum that I began playing this game again.

Thanks to the patchers, NBA Live 2004 is back! I love all the great works!

I hope you guys keep it up. Thanks gentlemen!

Hi @ll! I just came across this forum! It's great! I think that 04 is one of the best in the series. I am looking forward to roster updates for the upcoming season (some big transactions as you know) I've recently bought PS3 and played some of the new nba lives but it's just not the same!
