Hi guys!
I've had a longer break in releasing new patches. Now, I am willing to create some new. The first one is a new player of the game logo. Since KIA has been the NBA's main sponsor since 2009, I decided to change from Gatorade to KIA to get a more realistic look.
This patch will NOT change your game's language. To activate it, you need to use EAGraph to import the file into your gamedir and folder 'renfe' and there into the file xfecust.viv.

Enjoy it

Hi Sir Melfox... I've been applying all the tutorials posted on creating a player with their face patch, and I become successful in NBA Live 08 doing this, but I try to do the same on NBA Live 2004, but I wasn't successful there, although Sir Andrew told me to check the Custom Art Guide in Wiki I'm still confused. Here's my question Sir Melfox For Example I created a Player Danny Seigle and I want his real face patch to be apply in my save games of NBA Live 2004, I got his .ebo and .fsh from my PBA Live 2004 render/xplayer.viv the I extract it using EA Graph Editor, when I'm done creating him in my save game, I open the player.dbf to edit Danny Seigle iscrated to false and change his playerpkg to daseigl after that I proceed on appearance.dbf to change his settings to -1 but the problem is there is no appearance.dbf in my save game in NBA Live 2004... how am I going to install his facepatch on my save game? And also I want to know how am I going to import his daseigl.ebo and daseigle.fsh on my render file for me to be able to apply his face patch on my created player Danny Seigle. I'm a confused regarding the use of EA Graph Editor, I don't know what to do and what to click, the only thing I try is to extract .ebo and .fsh files there, is it possible also for me to import daseigl.ebo and daseigl.fsh files inside xplayer.viv using EA Graph Editor? or maybe I will create a folder like xplayer and put daseigl.ebo and daseigl.fsh there for me to be able to apply his face patch on my created player Danny Seigle? God Bless

Excuse me, xcab...
I don't understand you. I've never patched any .ebo file - I even don't know them. Files that are necessary to patch in NBA Live 2004 are mostly .viv or .fsh files. There are audio files (.asf) as well. But no .ebo files...
moreover, I don't know any appearance.dbf file...

Only necessary files to patch players are:

1. player portrait: .fsh files in GAMEDIR/render/xprtteam.viv (for example LEJAMES.fsh for LeBron James' portrait)

2. cyberface and tattoos/body skin: .fsh files in GAMEDIR/render/xplayer.viv (for example lejames.fsh for LeBron James' face and tattoos)

3. register file, where the patched files are connected to a specific place (=player):
a) save your rosters inside the game. It will create a folder called 001 in my documents/NBA Live 2004/saves
b) open the players.dbf file of this created folder (for example with DB commander)
c) rename one player you don't need any more to the player you like to add (for exmple rename Jalen Rose to Derrick Rose)
d) optimize realism in changing size, weight and other perimeters, for example the FACE will be selected in column 'PLAYERPKG'. To use a patched CF file you should fill in the field with the patched .fsh file name in xplayer.viv. (I've arranged that, for example, Derrick Rose' CF is integrated in Pat Burke, so it's PABURKE)
e) start the game
f) load the roster files inside the game
g) your added player should be in the place you've selected in DB commander

i) repeat this for many players and you'll get your own patch...so there are no .ebo files, appearance.dbf, etc.

That's all I can say about

Thanks Sir Melfox... I'm trying to learn more from you and Sir Andrew... Sorry I was just a beginner but I really appreciate both of you for helping me in patching especially when I don't know what to do? Sorry about .ebo I mean .fsh not .ebo... that is from NBA Live 08... Iwas just confused... :) Tnx again Sir Melfox and keep up the Good Work... God Bless

Releasing time:
Here's one more cyber face patch:

Guess who it is? For sure, it's Portland's Brandon Roy. He's no high flyer like LeBron oder Dwyane, but he definitely can give you a bit of everything.

Enjoy this new cyber face patch!

Moreover I've got a lil patch with big consequences:

I don't like the Original Spalding ball textures inside the game. I think it should be darker. So I did that. Here is an example:

Image

To activate this patch, you should download my file. Decompress it. And finally use EAgraph to import the ball.fsh file to GAMEDIR\render\xcommon.viv or use the customArt method.

Enjoy this patch

And another in game patch:

Here is a more realistic rim color:

To activate this patch use EAgraph or the customArt method to import the patched file into GAMEDIR\render\xcommon.viv

Enjoy this stuff

And today's third and last patch is the most elaborate one:

NEW PLAYER ICONS. That was a very very tough job:

Image

The red symbols are for defense and the blue symbols are for offense. By the way, the base of the three point symbol is MJ shooting the final shot to his 6th NBA title...

Here is the basis for these icons:

This patch will be activated, when integrating the patched file into GAMEDIR\render\xcommon.viv
