installing patches

hi, i'm new here..i was wondering if u all could teach me how to install patches in nba live 2004..i have seen great patches and i can't wait to try them..first of all what tools do i need?

Please follow these steps:
Locate xstartup.cfg in the main\cscripts folder within the main NBA Live 2004 folder. By default, the path will be C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NBA Live 2004\main\cscripts
Open xstartup.cfg using Notepad.
Locate the line customart 0
Change this to read customart 1
Save the changes, close the file

The place player faces to Reder/xplayer folder

Installing patches are all the same once you have enabled CustomArt

Hey man!
These are the ways to install specific patches one by one. The easiest way of all would be to download a whole patch with patched Original .viv and .fsh files and patched roster files (.dbf files) like Ryff's, elgin's or mine.
Then it's only necessary to overwrite some of the Original files and for the rosters to overwrite those in my documents (at least in old Win XP).
You can find these complete patches inside this forum. Moreover, if you take a look at the top left of this website, you're gonna see a link to "downloads". There are several files to download for this game, for example the last edtion of my whole patch, there called "update pack".
