The League 2k10 Sim League 12 openings (New forum)

If anyone is interested, there's a new league starting up that still has availability and provides new features such as hiring/firing of coaches, player suspensions, sign-and-trades, etc. This league is similar to what D5 was, the carrier of this was part of the D5 as well. Currently 18 teams available. If any updates will come along, I will post it in here. Thanks!

The offseason has finally started, free agency and hiring personnel started earlier today, rookie draft will be held on Monday. Houston, Indiana and Philadelphia are still available.

Some news after couple of weeks of silence. The league was on a hiatus for some time, because the owner wasn't able to run it and so far he hasn't showed any signs of coming back. But I decided to get it back on and started simming yesterday. The simming will be done on Nba Live 07. Right now this will be an unofficial sim, because I haven't had any touch with the owner. Anyway there could be some team openings soon enough after the GM Check-In.

Some News.

Like said before after the owner went on a hiatus I decided to took over. After that I decided to make a spinoff of of it and make a separate league. The new address to the league's forum is this. I know that the current design is butt-ugly, but I'm trying to fix it. Currently there are one free spot, but after November 1st there will be plenty. I know there were some members here, who used to be GMs there, so you're welcome back and anybody else, who is interested can join as well(but only if you know the secret handshake).


By the way, the simulation will be done on NBA Live 07, because there is no better one to take. The game sucks, but simulation is ok.

We have recently moved onto a new forum with freeforums.org as our new host (about 2 weeks ago). The new address is http://theleague2k10.freeforums.org/index.php We currently are in the offseason, rookie draft as of now (also moving stuff to the new forum, it's not 100% finished), but we hope to fill out the rest of the teams before the FA. • May 31, 2010 - The 2nd round of the Playoffs started.
• June 16, 2010 (- July 20, 2010) - Blake Griffin was announced as the Rookie of the Year. The rest of the awards went to: Jackie Moon (NOH, COY), Detroit (Exec.), Kirk Hinrich (6th man), Kevin Garnett (DPOY).
• June 23, 2010 - The Conference Finals started, Utah vs SA in the West and Boston vs Cleveland in the East.
• July 8, 2010 - For the 2nd time in 4 years, Cleveland and San Antonio met in the NBA Finals.
• July 15, 2010 - The first official season of TL2k10 was finished as Ginobili led Spurs took the Game 6 and won the 2010 NBA Championship. Tim Duncan got his 2nd MVP of the season, he averaged 21 points and 12 rebounds in the Finals.
• July 19, 2010 - For the first time in NBA history, the MVP trophy was shared between 2 players, two most dominating power forwards of the decade, Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan shared the honour.
• July 25, 2010 - The league once again moves to a new forum and for this time permanently.
• August 1, 2010 - Memphis Grizzlies selects John Wall with the 1st pick of the 2010 NBA Rookie Draft.
