nba 2k26 mods do not work any more

Hi guys. I just realized that the mods for nba 2k26 do not work any more. Any solution?

yep, all of my mods not working the problem is I only play my career NBA games and I can't access my career without EAC.

so far, no solution I don't know if it's a bug or not because all of the mods are not working after 1.4patch.

The temporary solution is to replace the exe with the previous one dated September 11, 2025. I’ve already reported this to 2K and I hope it’s not something intentional. I’ve also checked that the mod.exe has been updated and it works correctly. As soon as I know something new I’ll let you know, but for now that’s the only option that works at the moment.

mod.exe still gives the high ressolution texture pack errors for me!

We should thank 2k for protecting us from those dangerous modders. It's safer to wait till next years release to get officially updated cfs and courts in exchange for money instead of getting them all year for free from the modding community.

the problem with this is I only play my career NBA Games i don't care about online etc... and with this downgrade i can't play my career.

I was just gonna enjoy some mods for mycareer nba games and now this happens. The workaround isn't for me (i rather play online and level up my guy with mods), gotta wait till 2k randomly decides to fix it.

You guys no longer need to downgrade the exe. With Looyh’s new tool https://www.shuajota.com/2025/09/nba-2k26-mods-folder-fix-after-patch-14.html you just have to drag your mods folder onto the tool’s exe, and it will automatically fix the whole folder and make it compatible with the new exe. Apparently, 2K has changed the way the game loads files, and this has indirectly affected the mods. But with this, you can keep using all the online features without any issues.
