I apologize if this was included in one of the videos and I just missed it.

How would I go about importing a custom cyberface into the game? Basically, I haven't been able to get a good face scan using the app, so I would like to try to just overwrite one of the default CAP faces with my own. I'm comfortable using photoshop and can work with Blender, but I'm not sure of the process and what I would actually need to modify. Any help would be incredibly appreciated.

I have a playlist on youtube called Let's Mod. Try watching some of those videos to see if it helps

Thanks! Those were helpful. I watched the videos you did for 2k17 but wasn't getting it. The new ones made a lot more sense to me.

I'm still having some weird issues with blender, but I think it's more due to my lack of experience with it. I'm going to do some learning on my own to try and learn how to navigate around in there better.

I did have one question: Is there a way to override the textures/colors on hair and beards that I'm just not seeing? I was able to add my face to Jonas Valanciunas's face.iff file and put it in the game as face9005.iff, but when I try to use his png.iff file, it still looks pretty much the same as the default. I can see hints of my texture, but for the most part, it looks unchanged.

My Player face (face.9005.iff)

Using face9005.iff and png9005.iff (saved png2128.iff as png9005.iff)

Essentially, I have a beard, and want my player in-game to have a beard. But none of the colors or beards available to CAPs really match mine at all. So I'm trying to find a good way to get mine in the game. Or is there a place where the hair/beard colors for My Player are stored that I could modify?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I don't think you can edit the beard colors for CAPs outside the game. Can't you change hair color at the barborshop? I've never used that so I don't know.

I think the best solution for you would be to learn how to edit Jonas Valanciunas's face in blender

Unfortunately, the hair colors in the barber shop aren't really close to my own. Light brown is still too dark, and dark blond is yellowy.

I just want to get the texture from my beard to map over the Valanciunas beard. Is there a way to make that happen in Blender?

Not in blender. You need to edit facialhair_color_01.dds inside png.iff to your desired color

Ah, ok. Thanks. I don't see a facialhair_color file though; I only see hair_color_o and hair_shell_color_o. I'm guessing hair_color_o has both hair and facial hair? It's just a bunch of hair clumps when I open it in Photoshop.

Ahh yes hair color is for all hair. Just edit the hue/ color of the texture it will change the beard color.

I highly suggest playing around with it so you see the results and how it all works

That works. I'll have to do some experimenting. Thanks a lot!
