Does unlocking extra teams still work?

Hey all,

I'm considering getting 2k18 with the Steam coupon right now, but honestly my main reason for getting it is TGsoGood's video about unlocking the extra team slots for roster editing because I love making rosters.

Does this still work? Is it pretty easy to utilize this in game and is it easily used with the cheat tables for editing teams and players? Thanks everybody!
