TGsoGood wrote:I definitely explained in the 1st video. Please watch with the sound so you don't have to ask me questions that I have already given the answer to.
TGsoGood wrote:I can not release something that I have no permission to release and as stated in the video this version that I have is for preview purposes... Literally all I can do is preview the screens.
If you guys want this I will see if it is ok to release. This version will not allow you to create any roster because I was not given that version and I have asked but it will not be distributed until it is completed with no bugs and fully translated from my understanding.
TGsoGood wrote:Just to clarify for everyone, I am giving you all the info that I receive. While you can make edits in the tool that I have, they do not show up in game.

With all due respect, what's the point of the previews?
This is going to sound harsh, but we've been hearing about these "editors" since 2K16 came out
the videos mean absolute squat until we get a functional editor, even one functioning at 80%
This thread feels like a joke sometimes, no offense to the OP or you. But this type of stuff has been going on for the last 3 versions of NBA 2K.
Right now, maumau Is waiting for a functional tool, so he's sitting on his project (atleast that's what I think he said). Nothing wrong chasing this stuff, but let's not stall work waiting for it, or not start projects/finish projects because of it.
Get motivated to work with what we have and make some kick ass mods. That includes roster mods.

Dee4Three people were asking for previews including myself. This is going to sound harsh, but we've been hearing about these "editors" since 2K16 came out
SCX1125 also released a working tool last year for 2K17. His tool was not the huge modifier that we all kept trying to get someone help us with, his was a much smaller tool last year.
If I find the NLSC thread for his tool last year I will link it.the videos mean absolute squat until we get a functional editor, even one functioning at 80%
SCX1125 did release a free version that works. I will look through this thread to find the link again.
Also, why do you say the videos mean absolutely squat? They are previews. SCX1125 also asked me to make a video. This thread feels like a joke sometimes, no offense to the OP or you. But this type of stuff has been going on for the last 3 versions of NBA 2K.
His tool was released for 2K17 and he is making a bigger effort this year to try to get us a tool that allows easy roster editing including excel functionality. I'm sorry but I'm excited about the prospect of having a tool like this. Just knowing it is possible is enough for me honestly.Right now, maumau Is waiting for a functional tool, so he's sitting on his project (atleast that's what I think he said). Nothing wrong chasing this stuff, but let's not stall work waiting for it, or not start projects/finish projects because of it.
Maumau is in the group text with SCX1125 and I. He stated that he will release his roster.Get motivated to work with what we have and make some kick ass mods. That includes roster mods.
I agree.
if people are holding off on projects, or not finishing started projects because they are waiting for this, that's a mistake. We have the tools to make great rosters without this, just takes a little bit more work

I agree.
TGsoGood wrote:Dee4three using the most recent patch for 2K17 I was able to use the 2K17 tool to do the following:
-Edit Mycareer fans, Mycareer jersey sales, Change between the 3 MyCourts, Change MyCareer minutes
-edit MyGM badges, edit My GM Parameters
-Edit player ratings, Edit player tendencies, edit player animations (from a drop down list)
-copy hidden shoes to different players
-Trade players in any game mode
... If you guys give me about 20 to 30 minutes I will upload the Demo version of this years 2K18 tool to NLSC servers (this one had the old UI)
*EDIT,
(To clarify, SCX1125 does not mind having this version shared as we discussed the demo in February I believe. Also the 2K18 demo can actually make updates that can be saved but it is in Chinese)
*Edit 2 (clarification)
There was no paid version of SCX1125's 2K17 tool
TGsoGood wrote:-You can change players from Created Player type to Real Player type (This means the game will not call them by a generic nickname)
This is great for making draft classes and retro roster more authentic. I don't think we have any other tool that can do this.
TGsoGood wrote:Updated the translated Demo to include more fields. Link in above post.
Also notice the following that might be big for some roster makers
