Solid videos but why no link to the tool? I think people have been saying the free version is not working. Would be nice for everyone to get to experiment with this. I know it would certainly speed up my roster projects. For the record I had to watch with the sound off so if you explain it, my bad.

Watched it with sound. You definitely don't. All you say is this is a preview build with limited functionality. "I can only do one real change...anyways let's bring it up." You never detail exactly what you can do beyond DeRozen editing. Regardless, what prevents you from releasing the limited version you do have?

With all due respect, what's the point of the previews? This is going to sound harsh, but we've been hearing about these "editors" since 2K16 came out, so the videos mean absolute squat until we get a functional editor, even one functioning at 80%.

Not knocking you either, you've done a lot for this community. But this gets super old, look how long this thread alone has been here, and a similar one on NBA 2K17. It's always this back and forth, and than nothing. I'm not helping at the moment because I have no interest in 2K18, but I also wouldn't be pumping up an editor or previewing one if I didn't even know if I could get my hands on it.

This thread feels like a joke sometimes, no offense to the OP or you. But this type of stuff has been going on for the last 3 versions of NBA 2K. I made due last year with my rosters, if people are waiting for this stuff to come out before starting or finishing special projects, they might as well not start them or do them at all and just wait for 2K19 to come out.

Right now, maumau Is waiting for a functional tool, so he's sitting on his project (atleast that's what I think he said). Nothing wrong chasing this stuff, but let's not stall work waiting for it, or not start projects/finish projects because of it.

You know how I feel about you Goods, I consider us friends on here. Just sometimes I think the community stalls because of situations like this.


Get motivated to work with what we have and make some kick ass mods. That includes roster mods.

I tried the one for 2K17, it hardly did anything. We also were teased with one for 2K16, so you can see where the frustration can set in.

In regards to the videos, that makes sense. But, at the same time... it's teasing a hungry community (including myself), just like the one last year. And, I feel that people are holding off on completing work because of the previews and hope of a tool such as this.

I love your videos. You've helped a lot of people, so I'm not knocking your video productions.

You can bring up 2K17s tool all you want, but nobody used it or knew how (with the exception of you maybe). It literally did nothing for 2K17. Also, this thread has been sitting here going on 5 months (since Dec 7th), with no true progress. By no true progress, I mean nobody has been able to try it, no V1, no demo, nothing. Just previews and hope.

I love that it's being chased, and I hope that when it gets figured out and released that it will work for 2K19. But again, if people are holding off on projects, or not finishing started projects because they are waiting for this, that's a mistake. We have the tools to make great rosters without this, just takes a little bit more work and a can do attitude.

That tool for 2K17 is not fully functional. I have tried it, just saw you added the link to the 2K17 thread.

I literally couldn't use more than one tab. And nobody else figured out how to pay for the full function.

Not only that, the one tab had barely any functionality.

Dee4three using the most recent patch for 2K17 I was able to use the 2K17 tool to do the following:
-Edit Mycareer fans, Mycareer jersey sales, Change between the 3 MyCourts, Change MyCareer minutes
-edit MyGM badges, edit My GM Parameters
-Edit player ratings, Edit player tendencies, edit player animations (from a drop down list)
-copy hidden shoes to different players
-Trade players in any game mode

... If you guys give me about 20 to 30 minutes I will upload the Demo version of this years 2K18 tool to NLSC servers (this one had the old UI)

This is just an old Demo. The Full Chinese version never worked with servers outside of China.

Please also note SCX1125 is in China, from my understanding he does not check NLSC often but when he gets an opportunity.
We message 2 or 3 times every other week on average (that is not much). We do not keep in constant contact as he sleeps when I am awake and I sleep during his day time hours usually.
One of us has to stay up to late hours in order to get a few messages going back and forward.

That is not fully functional, and it doesn't even tap into what we could do with REDMC, that's the point.

That is far from a game changer, and that stuff can be done with other tools (with exception of maybe a couple of the MyCareer things on the list, although I think that stuff can be done with cheat engine).

Again, even with that functionality, it means almost nothing to the big projects. And, that functionality alone as a final product would not warrant a lot of excitement.

It doesn't help us with what cheat engine can do for us with a cheat table, like assigning logos, crowd IDs, change team type, change arena name, change court and stadium ids, etc.

So again, we havn't acheived anything close to REDMC on this gen, and this tool still is in question. I'll say again, I hope as much as anybody that when this is fully functional, that it's a game changer. But the one for 2K17 was absolutely in no shape, way or form a gamechanger.

Again, we are now into 5 months since this thread was started, and nobody had been able to use it. Additionally, the functionality of it is still in question. If we are including NBA 2K17, this tool has been being talked about for well over a year. If it's truly going to be a game changer, let's get the people's hands on it to see for ourselves. Even if it's just a semi-functional demo. In order for this tool to be a big deal, it needs to be able to be good for the big projects, like being able to: Change team names, change stadium and floor I'd assignments, change crowd ID assignments, change CF ID assignments, possibly change team order, assign CF IDS that are not in the manifest, change attributes/badges/tendencies/vitals, possibly add more teams, etc etc.

That's a game changer. Look at all we can do right now with Limnono modifier, the plug in, cheat engine and 2K explorer?

Let's be honest, you know that.

Again, I want to say.

In no way am I stating that going after this is a bad idea. And, I am not stating that if it is indeed fully functional and can do some things that people won't use it they probably will. And I think it's smart to explore all tools out there.

But, we need to be honest with ourselves sometimes, and we need to look at the big picture and trends surrounding a situation. Nobody on NLSC was using that tool last year (other than maybe you), and at the moment not one person has used the one this year (other than you). And if this is functional, but mainly only for attributes/tendencies, that's great and all... but certainly not a gamechanger.

Ksmiz made quite a few translations already. If you want to make massive roster changes I still recommend using the in-game editor

Any chance the demo version can edit draft information? This is perhaps the most exciting part for adding players with cyberfaces in the game but are not actually rostered players

The fields for draft info are editable in the demo. I did not test them to ensure they change in game but I believe they do work because they are on the player vitals tab. I can test when I get home.
