I don't think I know the steps to put it back together because I tried one and they all ended up wearing all black clothing
It looks like the way you did it is another way of doing it.
The way I do it is like this, I open the crowd_clothing_color_slice file and i check the transparency box and click ok.
That brings up the file like this
The transparency layer is in the channels panel named Alpha 1
When you display it and hide the RGB channel you get this
This is basically the instructions that tell the game what will be colored from the crowd_key_color_slice file. Anything that is black will not be colored by the file. Like the jersey areas ect. The gray to white areas will be colored by the color slice file. This makes it so that the undershirts from the crowd jerseys are different colors and the shoes that the fans wear and so on. You can edit this part to your own liking.
Like for instance you want this hat to be a specific color you set it to in the main layer, you just fill the area with black
Or if you just wanted to put a logo on it or something you would just make the logo area black like this.
The shape would stay purple but the hat color would be different for different fans wearing it.
Hope this helps, if you have any other questions feel free to ask.
