don't start your rosters just yet, the players on the all-time teams don't have all their badges atm. 2k said it's a bug and planning a fix next roster update.

The Dream Team Larry Bird and Charles Barkley CFs are still there Dee. I tried trying the Reggie Miller cf number but the player became invisible so either he has no CF in game or he has a different cf number.

Kendrick Perkins and Moses Malone are still in the game. We will need a Miller and Wallace.

But I am optimistic.

I have some bad news...

They took out A LOT of faces, faces that we used in NBA 2K17 to complete many of the classic teams (Examples, missing Royal Ivey, Radmanovic, etc).

I am only up to 1300, and I've encountered about 20 faces they took out, and many of them were faces that we used to fill default classic teams and used classic teams.

I'm keeping going, but this is looking troubled...

All of these guys are not only vital for new teams, but also for filling default classic teams. I feel sabotaged.. and I know that sounds dramatic... but I almost regret sharing the work we did for NBA 2K17. A few of the euro players are also missing, which were used to fill rosters.

I can still release a Ultimate Draft Roster and a Ultimate All Time Teams Roster with no duplcates. But this roster has a very, very low chance of being completed. And I don't do anything half-assed, so I refuse to do it half-assed.

I'm just really bummed right now. So is my brother.

I wouldn't be able to include the 92-93 Suns, or a Reggie Miller team, and I would be missing so many players that fill the default classic teams. I would have to half ass it.

The point of the roster is to fill the classic teams completely, and add a bunch of new ones. But they removed so many pieces...

There's got to be a way to convert a face from last year without molding a face thats already in the game. Maybe Greg can help us out....

Can't you use the 30 (normal) teams ? Like you did on 2K17 for the Rockets and the Suns ?

I have only had a few minutes to ensure the game worked for me.

Try placing a face and png iff file into th moddd folder and renaming them to one of the missing cfs. Then go in game chane player to that id and confirm if the face is now visible. If so, then we wil be avle to convert 2K17 faces more easily.

Please let me kow the results as I wil not be able to go home for a few more hours.

That wouldn't work anyways because they revamped how models work, last year's models are different from this years in terms of structure so the EXE file would never be able to load them.

Honestly 2K isn't trying to sabotage. They probably had a chance to get some those players in the game and that's why they were there. This year, there's a Danny Granger face and a Barkley face which suggest that 2K puts faces on a basis of who they believe they can obtain the rights too and wanted to create some room for the rookies and new legends.

No progress yet because I am waiting for a roster update that fixes the badges.

And Jonny2K.... I can list like 100 players that are still in the files that hold no relevance whatsoever to any team they would consider putting in... trust me.

It doesn't matter at this point. I'll start working on the roster one team at a time once the roster is updated by 2K, and I will request cyberfaces as I finish teams.

I hope this roster works out, i was late to playing 2K on PC but i discovered the Classic Teams roster for 2K17 and it made the game for me. I've tried playing with some of the 2K18 classic teams but with all of the missing players and a good number inaccurate faces really ruins the experience. Hopefully you guys are able to figure out how to make it work with the unexpected changes you've encountered with 2k18

Dee, when you make the roster, do you plan to base the players' heights in real life as opposed to how the players are billed (Kobe at 6'7'', Durant at 7'0'', etc.) since 2K didn't really get the proportions correct this year?

D43, I know of the issue's that you may be coming across on NBA2k18. I wanted to let you know, I thank you very very much for your hard work on NBA2k17 in completion of the classic team roster. I know there were some dark - times when the issues and frustrations of NBA 2k17 derailed your project. I still wanted to thank you for getting it to us, it really made the game playable... I was done with nba2k... you basically helped me get my money's worth out of it. I am looking forward to seeing your work again and hope this time NBA2k's issue's are less annoying.

With that being said, I know you elected to do a 07-08 Season Roster (one of my most favorite seasons ever). I do want to suggest, how about an 08-09 Roster instead? It's got one of the best "what ifs" in NBA History.

Boston Celtics were on pace to break the 72 win record, and suddenly KG went down and wasn't really ever the same. I remember thinking that it was a done deal, Boston was going to repeat. Imagine if we were able to play with Boston during it's height and see it through to a championship.

In the East:

Young Chicago Bulls were turning heads, let's not forget one of the best first round playoff series ever between Chicago and Boston. Ray Allen went for 50+, Pierce was hitting clutch shot after clutch shot. Derrick Rose .. Rose to the occassion and really put himself out there. Rajon Rondo was turning into "Playoff Rondo". Ben Gordon was Ben Jordon. Joakim was bringing down 10+ rebounds. Tyrus Thomas was dunking, John Salmons was a steady vet.

Orlando Magic: 4 out 1 in, high pick and roll. Hedo was the Michael Jordon of Turkey, he hit a lot of clutch shots. Rashard Lewis was wrecking defenses with his stretch of the floor. Dwight? He was voted by many higher ups as either number 1 or number 2 to start a team with, who was the other? Lebron. Dwight had more endorsements than LBJ at this time, he was a BEAST. Orlando beat out a 60+ win Boston and Cleveland.

Atlanta Hawks: They were a turning into a steady playoff team. Joe Johnson was a top 4 shooting guard. Josh Smith was electric on defense.

Philly 76ers: One of my feel good teams, they were a good team without a super-star to lead them. They won a lot of games out of sheer will and team play. Igoudala, Lou Williams, Delembert, Elton Brand.

Miami Heat: I personally think, Dwayne Wade was MVP this year. His best season yet, led a team with a crippled J Oneal to the playoffs.

Cleveland Cav's: LBJ was dominating, he was in a MVP Puppet commercial with Kobe. This was going to the be year we were FINALLY going to get Kobe vs LBJ in the finals (Boston had lost KD to injury). But what happened? LBJ did not choke, he played amazing.. Orlando hit 3's... Orlando played better.


West:

LA Lakers: Kobe was hungry, Kobe put away his good team mate side (which only lasted 2 years), Kobe became the black mamba and got his team mates to share the mentality. Pau Gasol raised his game, Lamar Odom same thing, The Role players got better, That LA Lakers team wanted to get back to the finals really really bad.

Houston Rockets: If healthy, they would of made the Finals, I am certain. T-Mac had declined and was out for the season. Ron Artest, Shane Battier and Yao Ming led this team. They had Von Wafer scoring, Aaron Brook's dropping long bombs. This was a great team, they lost to LA Lakers in game 7 and this was the last we saw of Yao Ming, he went down in the end of this series with an injury he could not return from... a great What if moment.

Denver Nuggets: Probably the best Nuggets team yet. Billups was the leader, they had a perfect blend of role players. Melo was looking up to Kobe as a mentor, they had become friends over the previous summer with Team USA. Dahntay Jones was dirty, he tried to kill Kobe twice in an epic 6 game playoff series, a western conference finals. We were close to having a MELO vs LBJ Finals or a MELO vs D12 Finals.

San Antonio: A well-oiled machine, my favorite team, was trending down and the future looked bleak.

Pheniox Suns: They were regrouping for what became a great playoff team of 2010 (following season), Dragic had a coming out party.

OKC Thunder: They were SUPER Young, they were one season away from making the playoffs.

UTAH Jazz: Jerry Sloan was well, he was still coaching hard. D-Will and Boozer were becoming a modern day Malone and Stockton, except not as great. D-Will at this time, was argubly the best PG in the NBA... does anyone remember that? Another steady playoff team.

Anything else I miss?

I think I just wanted to share this haha... I mean I can still go into this season once your 07-08 roster is out and I play it in myleague/season haha....

looks like we got that all time teams badge update, you just have to download a new official roster. kyrie went from 2 badges to 23, just make sure you check the rest of the players.

FYI if we can't get this roster done then the 2008 and 1997 Season rosters probably won't be happening. The workload is immense if we don't figure out how to convert faces from 2K17.

In regards to height, I will be doing it based off how they are listed, but those are easy fixes if you want to adjust them yourself.

Well, I updated the 2008 Celtics Roster, so please feel free to download that one and start expanding on it. I added Glen Davis, Eddie House, Perkins using their cyperfaces IDs from 2017 ID list.

I used Dee4Three's attributes/tendencies from last year. Thanks for taking time to research that!

I also added Gabe Pruitt but didn't really spend much time outside of bio and tweaking some attributes.

On the 1986 team, I added Sly Williams, Greg Kite, Rick Carlisle, David Thirdkill.

Name of roster is "2008 & 1986 Celtics". Enjoy!

PS - I added Perkins to the 2012 Thunder as well. Slightly downgraded a few attributes since we was on a decline after that season.
