Oh, that's the problem. You need at least CS6. I'm using CC 2017. I HIGHLY recommend the update. The difference between CS3 and CC 2017 is staggering.

Ok I got Photoshop CS6 and everything works great!
A question: I'm working on 94-95 Knicks Retro Arena; where I can find Knciks FONT used on the floor?

I mean for those text on the floor.....

Out of curiosity, why were we able to add team slots in last-gen 2K but have yet to have that ability in current-gen 2K? Is there something in the game’s coding that prevents that?

There are already additional empty team slots available. The only thing preventing us from adding new teams is ourselves. Last gen Vlad was able to make an easy to use tool that allowed to use and add more teams.
Vlad works for 2K now and we would need someone from the community to help figure out the easiest way to add team info and players to the vacant teams hidden in the roster.
There are so many things that can be done with this game, the only thing holding us back is our lack of knowledge in regards to manipulating the roster files and other game files. T
he community has recently made great strides.I'm always drawing from my knowledge of the old games to continue to figure out how to manipulate this new generation. Only a few people like myself are willing to spend hours figuring out how the files work to make small breakthroughs and discoveries for the community. Most people just wait for someone to figure it all out and ask for a tutorial. That is not to bash any one.

The problem with roster editing in next-gen is the heavy encryption. Before Vlad had left, I recall him even saying he couldn't do it. Greg was going to work on it, but he's far too busy these days. We're lucky the 2K17 stuff works, or we'd have nothing.

I'd love to see roster saves go to an easy to edit format like DBF files, as NBA Live eventually did after the first few PC releases. Sadly, I don't think that's likely.

Trying to find a way to edit rosters externally is a lost cause obviously. It's much easier to do it in-memory anyways, it's just a matter of finding where everything is. Although with memory editing we can't make any changes to the roster files, everything has to be edited or enabled with what is already there, so adding more team slots is impossible. I would do it but I find it very tedious, going through everything and looking to see where everything is. I need to enjoy what I'm doing to want to mod the game.
I respect the people that put hundreds of hours looking at the memory of games just to make tiny changes, because I would never do it.

I think I found a way to add a few more extra teams this morning. I just need to run some tests today and tomorrow.

Here is the hair tutorial that some of you were requesting. This video was just the basics.
There are more nuances that I did not cover. I did not need to use blender for this tutorial.

This is going to be huge if it works. I want to work on the skeleton of a classic teams roster that replaces the all-time teams and a few of the crappy additions 2K made (ex: switch 03-04 Lakers for 05-06 Lakers) and some extra slots for USA teams and celebrity teams

TGsoGood, awesome job your doing.
I am right now trying to get into CF making but it is really not that easy. Blender is a hard tool to work with and also the texture editing in photoshop is not easy at all, especially finding good images as sources.
I will continue nevertheless.
Would be awesome if we could add teams - I think there are some classic teams definitely missing. Some should be replaced, too.
Good job

Adding extra teams will not be a huge find. We dont have many roster makers this year it seems. I have been very consistent trying to show everyone the full modding capabilities that we have.
People still haven't even realized they can swap mycareer files with other people or that pc can make unlimited created players. Also I think we can add archives but i still need to test it.

Mon Oct 02, 2017 7:39 am
New UpdateI have released a roster with several hidden teams,
now let's see who want to create UBR 2K18.
Search for "unlocked hidden team slots" in the roster creator.
View video for details.

I've toyed around with it and it looks like we can't use it in PlayNow. I might be doing something wrong or maybe it requires all teams to have the minimum players so it'll work.
Also interesting to note that some of these teams have unused uniforms so it could open the door for extra uniform mods.

Jonny2k,
Use limnono's trainer copy roster option (f10) after loading the roster in edit team screen.
Then go to play now. It works

i've encountered some png files wherein there is also a hair_01_shell.scne file, do i have to do the same to this scene file too and readjust model? i've seen that it also has a corresponding model. thanks!

Hair shell is not needed and sometimes causes issues. Use it at your own discretion

Or if you mean how to extract the files from within the iff file, 7-zip.
