This whole line of comments are on-topic, as they began with your previews of Liangelo Ball in this thread. I'm not being negative, I'm being honest. If there's shady actions taken I'll call it out regardless of user or thread. Immediately, publicly telling a user to check their PM's after being denied permission to release looks sketch. If it's just Dragic, that's fine but you do nothing to help yourself by being vague and public. Allows people to speculate.

This is the part that might bother me the most. I just had to deal with this in the NBA 2K17 section, literally the creation of a fake account to create fake support and boost the guys ego. I'm not sure how anybody can feel good about that, now that's two people in this same thread that stated you did that (Bluejay and R4zor). The people who do this, do you realize how pathetic that actually is? What happened to real support, feeling good about real support, trying to achieve real support? It's painfully obvious when someone has created a fake account/fake accounts and made comments, the Nano-Technology guy did it, in fact he created several fake accounts and made comments to support himself (Hes not around anymore).

I think the mods do take notice, I think they do a great job actually. They can't get in the middle of everything, I understand them letting things play out.

I think that a lot of things can be resolved amongst ourselves.

I'm aware of that. These are both separate situations but are similar in nature. One user was completely banned, one was not. It's frustrating but I understand the distinction.

I want users to be punished equally and proportionally. If creating fake accounts is an offense that results in a ban, that should be the case for all users regardless of who or what the circumstances are.

On top of that, you had put ad-links on works of other users in several of your roster bundles. Your practices are never above the table and you have had a track record of shady behavior. I think users with that kind of history that then pulled the move you did should have greater consequences. It is frustrating to see this place degraded because of a trend of questionable practices. Just because you are getting away with it, does not mean you should get away with it. Maybe I'm alone in this sentiment but I'll at least voice it.

Just to clarify a couple of things: while our aim is to be consistent, and there are some things that result in an immediate ban in all but the most exceptional cases, we do handle things on a case-by-case basis. We do that according to our set rules and procedure, but depending on a person's history, what it is that they've done as far as breaking the rules, and whether they're apologetic or confrontational, we do leave room for leniency in terms of a temporary ban or a final warning. We do this because we want to give people a fair chance, and we don't want people walking on eggshells. Again, we do aim for consistency, but we don't want to throw the baby out with the bath water, either.

We also can't see the contents of private messages unless they're reported, so that's hard to monitor without a heads up. We have to give people the benefit of the doubt there, unless we're presented with evidence via a report, at which point we can and will take action.

I don't want to derail the topic further with lengthy comparisons to other situations, but as a quick summary, those other situations generally involved longer lists of infractions, refusal to take responsibility for what they'd done, creating new accounts after being banned and stirring up trouble, and so forth.

I can't speak to any 'shady' behavior on your end but I can attest to all the work that you've put in. You've worked tirelessly on many projects. Some may end up incomplete but who the fuck cares - it's more than most do. Your intent is clear - to contribute significantly to this community. I can't imagine that you've accrued any bounty of money from releases. I can understand the frustration, but to present it as if you're some thief without morals, that's worthy of prison time is silly. Of course, that's hyperbole but your offenses are far less reprehensible than some express. IMHO.

You can't appease everyone, my man. Some people are just going to have negative perspectives and express an unnecessarily harsh sentiment. Wheather you're getting beat up for the quality of your cyberfaces, your draft class, your euroleague, your roster - you just can't catch a break with some people. Keep doing your thing, my G! The best retort to the naysayers is to keep working hard and not acknowledge the negativity.

It's a video game smh and ya'll here like on the Maury Povich Show this shit too funny, if you put material on the internet it is going to be used by the users, some intentions might be shady but you should consider before you put in on, perhaps we should start charging for mods to give them better value? It's getting a bit hilarious how much critique a person can receive for spending his valuable time just so someone can download and enjoy contend, at the end of the day does it really matter how it's used? Is it bad if it could be improved? Ya'll not artists, painters or some shit like that, these ain't no records that attracting big time labels, its a darn video game so treat it like one! To keep everything short everything just needs to chill the f out and find a way to work together better! I ain't on no ones side i'm saying it to everyone, I been working with Shuajota for the past 4 - 5 months and he is a pretty passionate guy to find the time to do whatever he does for the community in his already so busy life. Sometimes if you have nothing good to say its better not to say something at all, maybe if you don't appreciate it there are plenty people that do and support it.
