Question About Editing Players/Cyberfaces

Postby RoastedHamm on Fri Dec 29, 2017 12:30 pm

Hey everyone! I just had a quick question that I hope one of you guys could answer. I wanted to get into editing cyberfaces, so I could help out the NLSC community. I know how to edit player models by importing the hihead.SCNE file into blender. My question is, how do I edit 3D hair and beards on players? Do i just import the hair_01.SCNE file into blender? Because when I import the hihead.SCNE file of a player, it doesn't show the hair or the beard. Thanks!

You must first import hihead.SCNE in blender and then second import the hair_01.SCNE it will show up the headshape and 3d hair. Their is excemption be sure that the player have a 3D hair model So that it will show up in Blender. Same with the beard ofcourse.

Thanks for the response! I did as you said, but when I import the hair_01.SCNE file, the hair doesn't show up. Do I have to do something else?

As you can see, when I select the hair_01.SCNE file and I click import, nothing happens.

Base on your images/video I think their is no 3D hair files on that cyberface. By the way , who is that cyberfaces you want to edit? be sure that it has 3D hair files.
Try another cyberface if it still the same problem for example robin lopez cf We sure it has a lot of hair. ok :D

The player I was trying to edit was Austin Rivers. I'll try someone else and see if the problem presist. Thanks!

I tried on Robin Lopez. I still have the same problem. I import the hihead.SCNE file and I see the model with no hair. I then try importing the hair_01.SCNE file and when I click import nothing happens. Any idea on why this is happening? Do I need to do something else?

Now I saw the problem. Upon reviewing again your videos . You must extract all the files in png.iff files. use 7zip to extract all the files inside the on it. Then problem solved. I'm sure 100% (Y)
