What's the best way to play a current NBA player in MyCareer?

I am aware of the option to swap in a player's cyber face. Problem is, if I want to play Lonzo Ball, I end up on a team with Lonzo Ball... not ideal. Is there any way to take actual control of a real player with their current stats.

If you don't mind removing Lonzo from the Team, just delete him from the roster before playing myCareer

And if you don't mind dropping all the MyCareer extraneous bullshit, you can make a MyLeague with the Lakers, go to Options -> Position Settings, and set the Player Lock to Lonzo Ball.

Gameplay-wise, this will be identical to a MyCareer game. You won't get cutscenes or be able to take this player into the Playground or Pro-Am, but if what you want is to play Lonzo Ball's career, this is the way to go.
