How to make court mods?

Can someone please give me a step by step tutorial on how to create court mods? I see everyone is making mods for the community and its been 2 years and I cant figure out how to create my own mods. I downloaded a free trail of photoshop and Lagoa's court template but I am lost. I'm not a graphics designer or computer programmer so I don't know how to figure this stuff out. My goal is to replace all the courts his the game with the courts from the 1996-1997 season since I don't watch new basketball. I really like the old stuff. Hopefully someone out there can help. I only have 3 days left b4 my photoshop trail membership expired and I was hoping to get all the courts done b4 then. Hopefully someone can help me and hopefully its not that difficult. If not, I guess i will have to buy nba 2k11 and hopefully its still possible to get all the mods for that game.

I don't think you can make a lot of courts with only 3 days...

Download the Nvidia DDS file here:

Open your .psd file
When you finish, resize your .psd file at 4096x4096 pixels
Save it at .DDS file on DXT5 with this name : big76ers256.0200976aa730f40b
Place big76ers256.0200976aa730f40b.dds on the .iff court of your choice with winzip

Gimp is a free program that could be used as an alternative to photoshop, I'm not used to it, but I use gimp to export and import DDS files and it works fine.

if i'm able to make great court mods like you guys. I will try gimp like rodzilla suggested. But, if that doesnt work I will get a month subscription and make all the court mods.

You don't need to rush with it, i just finished all the 96-97 courts. I need to upload them and you will be ok
