Official Patch Notes & Discussion (Latest Patch: 1.11)

I've updated the first post with the patch notes. Looks like it's PS4 and X1 for now, PC and Switch soon.

They are still doing the weekly patch thing, huh? Gotta love 2k. I've never seen any games I've had that needed so many patches.

Seriously, 3v3 courts are unplayable due to frame rate drops. 2v2 works fine along with all the other modes. We need optimization...

So, MyCOURT no longer works properly after the patch. It takes a lot longer to load, and then once you're there, the shootaround modes and closet don't work. VC rewards in 2K Pro-Am have been nerfed (seriously, how tone deaf can you get to user complaints?), ball control and body steals are even worse, and a lot of other issues remain unaddressed. Matchmaking in 2K Pro-Am does seem to be a little better though.

Andrew, we should be careful what we wish for...

Fixed a case where users were not getting paid their full VC amount after Pro-Am games.

Apparently that meant

Reduced the Pro-Am VC rewards to match the lower amount you were getting already.

BTW one thought about the MyCourt - did you have the Bulls mural equipped? Just a thought that you're a Bulls fan and that's the thing they changed, so it might be connected.

Those impressions are from the PS4 version. As the others have already noted, the PC patch wasn't out at the time. Now that it's out though, I'll certainly be checking. Judging by the patch notes however, I'm not expecting it to be addressed.

I just patched the game, about 400mb is that supposed to be it? I thought it was 4gb

The PC patches are always smaller than the console patches, as they're not cumulative.

Steam also allows patching only changed parts in a way that the console systems don't support due to Sony/Microsoft policy. Microsoft supposedly is altering all kinds of policies like this as part of the Xbox One X rollout. Original Xbox One's will not download the X only assets for example. It probably will not affect executable changes though, as I imagine 2K keeps those as similar as possible between the two consoles that share the platform.

I'd be interested to know more about the Switch version actually. Especially how it handles the content updates.

Are these 1.04 patch not including shoes update for PC yet? Because I can't find these five new shoes yet...

It should be the same across all platforms.

damn after v1.04 update on my PC i can't even wear my custom shoes both on the neighborhood and the nba games anymore .

the elevator loading is very long now after patch and also the closet seems to be broken too, you need to play my career nba games to fix it lol.
so some things may be fixed...but the patch breaks more then it fixes..

I haven't played a MyCAREER game since the patch, so I'll give that a try and see if it fixes MyCOURT.

That has always been the case with 2k.

It does seem like 1.04 has caused a lot of problems. I'm guessing 1.05 isn't going to be far away.

And does anyone think the next patch will improve the game? History says it will make it worse than the previous patch. 2k is the only game where I have dreaded an announcement about a new patch.

The gameplay itself doesn't really feel any different after 1.04 (though the in-game tuning updates also affect that) and 2K are supposedly trying to avoid major gameplay changes this year, but simply having a bunch of technical issues rear their ugly heads is bad enough.
