NBA Live 2001-2004 also included Michael Jordan in the default rosters. ;)

Oh right. I overlooked him playing with the Wizards. 2000 stood out the most since it marked his return on a basketball video game.

Indeed, it had been some time since he was featured in a basketball game.

Skate 3. Was a huge Tony Hawk fan, and didn't care for the first 2 skates, but I love the park editor, Tony Hawk style view and arcade mode.

UPDATE. EA are still a bunch of fucking cunts, and they become worse by the minute. The career mode fucking blows. It's more or less the same as in the first game. Not sure if the missions where you have to follow other skaters around for 5 minutes was in the first game, but its in this one, and fucking stupid. Its really fun to follow a guy around the level until you get stuck between a guard rail and a ledge and have to restart.

Then there's the game's big feature: create-a-park. Unfortunately, to get all the objects, you must either tough out the career mode, or pay $7. Fuck that. And then unless you buy the game new, its another $10 to share or download parks.

It's really a shame, because there are a lot of things I like about it, and with the TH series now defunct, this is my only way to get my action sports game fix.

Yes, and Tony Hawk: Shred comes out this fall.

But it might as well be since you need that skateboard peripheral.

Yeah, Tony Hawk is done. Only like five people bought Ride because it was a piece of shit that cost twice as much as a normal game.

Doesnt stop the sales of all the band games. Its just you know..fake skateboards might require more coordination than fake instruments.

TH: Shred looks even worse than Ride, as it will include snowboarding for some reason, and will be geared toward a younger audience. Skate 3's warming up to me. The lack of polish and EA's nickel-and-dime-ing aside, its an addicting game. Really like the level design, and the arcade mode option is great for those of us who don't care about skateboarding.

Before they quit making real TH games, the series had already been in free-fall. Despite that, I've always found them wildly addicting, and were my favorite game series. Skate 3 is in a lot of ways what I hoped Tony Hawk 10 would be, but its just not the same. Skate is to Tony Hawk what Forza is to Gran Turismo for me.

Skate 3 is very addicting. Lots of little grating flaws, but as a whole its a fun game.

I really like the demo, and the hardcore realistic difficulty.....but $30 new is when I'll grab it.

Yeah, as a whole I like it a lot better than the first two. World's a lot funner to skate in than San Van, and the park editor is fun.

About to shelve Skate 3. I really hope the person at EA who decided it would be a good idea to strip features from the game from people who rent the game (park sharing, a lot of the park editor items) gets in a car wreck and/or is diagnosed with terminal cancer. (N)

Yeah, the park editor's the only real reason to get the game, since the career mode is very short, and many Skate 2 features were removed. Made a sick park, and saw some Tony Hawk level remakes that I was dying to try, but I'm not paying $10 (or $60!) for this shit.

Since fucking CoD: Modern Warfare 2 is still inexplicably and ridiculously overpriced, I got Battlefield: Bad Company 2 from Steam and it's pretty damn good actually. I only play for the singleplayer campaign, and it looks like it might even be of better quality and longer game life than CoD.

I've been playing Minecraft lately. Highly addictive. Here, watch this video, if you don't know what Minecraft exactly is.
It's 10€ currently (or 13$) for the Alpha version. After you buy it, you'll get all the following updates for free and later, the full version. The full version will be 20€. I bought it on the Minecraft website. Well worth the price. There's also a free browser version called Minecraft Classic, but it's miles behind the Alpha version.

Played some Sid Meier's Pirates yesterday to take advantage of the International Talk Like a Pirate Day easter egg. Apart from that, pretty much just playing my NBA Live 06 Dynasty until October brings all the new games.
