Updated shoes on existing rosters (Workaround)
Was just about to post this in the shoe vault, but I didn't want to put down the guys on console. So you can't equip the updated shoes in ongoing My GM or My League. I found a little workaround with Limnono's trainer. It's tedious, but works. So this year we have the ability to load a diffrent draft class mid season. Create you a new draft class with all the new shoes you wan't to equip. I haven't tried it but i'm sure it works with colorways too. I named the players in the draft class the name of the shoe I'm equipping so I don't forget what is what. Load your draft class in your game mode and load your roster on Limnono's tool. The rookies in the draft class appear in your roster so you can copy a player in the draft class with say the Nike Air Audacity 2016 over a player you want to wear them. This copies all accesories (Including headbands) over so remember to reequip accesories to your NBA player. When you are done just re-load your incoming players draft class you wan't to use.

I would imagine that you could. This is a quoted tutorial from Operation Sports.
