So I saw someone mention that the most recent patch messed up a few things in Cheat Engine in regards to hex editing. Did it impact changing team names etc?

For any one interested I released a roster with most of the hidden teams unlocked on steam
Roster is called "Unlocked hidden teams"

It's mainly for people who want to use these teams like fictional college teams from MyCareer or people who don't know how to unlock them with cheat engine.
I made them European team type ( my own preference)

TBM, I thought European teams were unlocked already. You can use them in MyLeague and in Play now. What are you referring to?


Also good news I found a cool way to lock jersey textures kind of like with RED MC video below

Also found a manual process for converting old gen jerseys to new gen very accurately. I don't know if I will do a instructional guide or not.

Well the euro teams in the default roster play by Euroleague rules on play now. I think he was saying that it would be cool to have the unlocking of the teams that are not in it, but have the unlocked teams and euro teams set to NBA.

I didn't set them to NBA teams because I wanted to be able to use the previously hidden teams in MyLeague without issues. I set them all to regular NBA team type and I think that is what caused crashing in MyLeague for me before. I could make a roster with all those teams unhidden and changed to NBA team type, but I don't really use the PlayNow feature.

TBM the roster is released on steam if you want to try to switch them to NBA teams. Its called "Unlocked hidden teams"

I don't know if enough yet to correctly assign free agents to a team with red mc

Its in gooeyglobal.iff I believe. And I am not which archive its in. But you could check the manifest.

I know that the file itself needs to go into the "Shared" folder using the plugin to work.

A new version has to be released after each patch. Im currently waiting for the updated to that works with the current patch. Still no idea how to buy full version.

I wish some expert had a look at RDAT files. Last gen it was so easy to change the CRC32 after hex editing rosters, but in current gen I am completely clueless about it.

I did look @ .RDAT last year...I did try different checksum / CRC...no luck :-(

I will gave it a shot this weekend.....solving this problem can be huge for the community...I understand this....

Yes, from there we could immediatly use hex on steroids and tools like that to quickly edit several team types at once, colors, arena info and stuff like that, which would be way easier than using CE. And then maybe a red-mc like roster editor. At least now we now that it's possible to set up the game to make it read roster.iff files from the modded folder, so the only thing that is really restraining us is this damn checksum thing.

I think this is the newest update: It says 4.1 and it was updated after the recent patch.... Hope it helps. I also tried reaching out directly to the creator but can't seem to get a response in order to buy the full version.

You need two select both players before pushing the trade button.

mmmmm...It's like a puzzle....very really hard to solve. I was guessing the first 4 bytes were sort of checksum /CRC....but they're only 3 out of 4 bytes....


It's a shame...docoding this would open a world for modding :(

If I remember correctly, those first 3 bytes are the size of the file. The file from the first screenshot for example, if you scroll down all the way to the end, the last offset will be "00 A2 77 30", which is written at the beginning (reversed, as always).

first two differences are about file size..the third one...this could be 32-bit checksum?

no, we just need to know the algorithm and the part of teh file that is checksummed.....

checksum = sum of all the bytes of a file

Jaosming was actually the first person to do this on the last gen game, back on 2k14.

Has anybody found the halftime 2K logos that are in the game? would be cool to change those to NBA on TNT logos.

Also, the in game 2K wipe, I used to love all the custom wipes for a realistic broadcast. Being able to add a watermark is also cool.
