MAUMAU78 SFX Mod 1.0 Released

SFX Mod 1.0

This Mod includes:

- New Rim<->Ball Sound Efefcts
- New Net Sound Effects
- New Dunk Sounds Effects
- General Adjustment of Sounds Effects Volume

copy all the files into "MODDED" folder. This is the first version It will be updated during the year.....

"Beta 2" really early preview...

After first release on first post I will now focus on:

- Better "Dunk SFX"
- Even Better Rim<->Ball Effects
- Adjust swishes volume (make them louder)

as always stay tuned and post comment/suggestion here....and if someone has some clear SFX (sample wav or youtube videos) to suggest me I would be pleased

I want to replace default 2k SFX with more broadcast like SFX....

I love the beta 1 file, just tried it. If by the end of the season you complete this mod and you enhance the default sounds for most courts as well as the arenas which have custom sounds, this is a project everybody must have.

If you like beta 1 you'll be blown away by next release

I already imported some SFX taken directly from some NBA games...man it makes a Huge difference...unfortunately It can't be done specific for every team (you can only create specific for lakers,t-wolves,cavs,bulls,nugges) but this is not a big deal

Key is to find good youtube videos with really HQ SFX....for dunks for example I found excellent samples without background noise....

i gotta say im looking out for this mod heavy! i have some questions

1. How much different sounds to does the net make?

2. Does different arena have different net SFX? so for example Brooklyn's rim's are very loud is it possible todo that?

1. You have (hard,med,soft) around 30 SFX
2. unfortunately It can't be done specific for every team (you can only create specific for lakers,t-wolves,cavs,bulls,nuggets and other 3 I can't remeber) but this is not a big deal

I think it's ridiculous that they advertised that all 30 NBA arenas had it's own specific SFX. Someone should bring this to Operation Sports and call them out.

I did for arena light and SFX...nobody from 2k ever reply....

...BTW 2k philosopy is to provide for example 30 rim<->ball SFX...all low quality and not realistic...I replaced them with few in total but HQ and taken from NBA/NCAA games...

Before we call them out on hidden parts of the game they lied to us about, we should first get the very first roster update of the season. One week later and Ben Simmons is still the starting power forward for the Sixers.

Apologies for going off topic aswell but it's actually hilarious how rushed this game is. I could make a full list of the shit they do to get this game out as fast a possible. The amount of updates they're shoving into MyTeam annoys the hell out me when there is so many other things to be working on. Jerseys specifically, did you know they massively reduced the quality of jerseys. You can probably tell just by looking at them.

BTW here's the list of specific SFX....I try to create a sfx_inside_arenaspecific_00014.iff (Knikcs are not listed below) and put it in MODDED folder...game won't recognize it unfortunately...

I assure you even BETA 2 with new sfx will be awesome...i spent over 5 hours on watching clip on youtube and extract / edit / cut with Audacity....It's literally another experience with real NBA sfx...

Question. I am using your SFX right now and love it, will that dunks have slightly more rattle this time around? what are the changes to the dunk sounds I general?

As you may know I'm not a big fan of the new rim NBA introduced during the 2009 Season....
...new rim are thicker & softer and this affect the rim sounds as they are "dampened" compared to old rim.

I've taken my sound sample directly from 2004-2009 Knicks game and some NCAA games....I think they look terrific but as usual I'm open for feedback & suggestion...

...same for net sound...I make them totally new.......now I think I just have to add some variations but overall I'm happy on how this mod is shaping up...It's a WIP of course I'm at 30-35% of final work....
