Broadcasting 2K17 on Steam

Postby Dee4Three on Wed Apr 18, 2018 1:16 am

Hi all,

Not sure who would be interested in this... but I am thinking that I will broadcast my 2K17 game with my brother tonight via Steam. My username on Steam is derekferland4433.

The matchup would be the 96-97 Rockets at 82-83 76ers. My brother and I have a MyLeague where I am using the 96-97 Rockets for the whole season, and he is using the 17-18 Thunder. The game would happen like around 630PM EST or 7PM EST.

I know this game isn't as popular because of 2K18 being out, but figured there might be a few people who might want to see this.

Let me know.

Thanks!

Sorry for the triple post.

But you guys missed a good game. I'll post the highlights later.

If you want to broadcast, you have to use Twitch or YouTube. Steam BC is pure shit.
You can stream from your drivers with a nvidia card. I know you have an AMD, perhaps this option exists too ?

Never used Twitch, but I would love to figure out how to do it on Youtube.

Can I still play the game in full screen if I broadcast on Youtube?

Nvdia users can do that if GeForce Experience / Shadow Play
It seems AMD users can also do that with "Radeon ReLive"

Tonight is "too night" for me...
it seems it worked :) but video seems more compressed than usual and you drop at the end of the 3rd quarter.

I switched the Xsplit for that video and it worked, Amd relive worked pretty bad.

The problem is, I can't get the gameplay itself to run smooth at 1080p@60fps while streaming. The video on YouTube looks compressed and a little choppy.

My setups should accommodate a 1080p@60fps stream without compression and with perfect frame rate in game. I have an RX480 graphics card, a good processor, and a 1grps internet (so 1000mbps). My bandwidth should be fine.

When streaming in 720P at 60, I get no lag in game, but the video quality on youtube just doesn't cut it to me.

Just don't understand why I can't get my setup to do it right.

perhaps you could try to define 1 CPU for Xsplit, and others for NBA2K
