Animation Patch?

Postby Dee4Three on Sat Mar 25, 2017 12:15 am

Hi all,

For NBA 2k14, a collab was done in order to improve animation speeds in the game. I tried the one that was made for NBA 2K17 in the releases and Previews section, and I did not notice a difference.

I feel like this game would GREATLY improve gameplay wise if we could tweak the speed of animations. Everything seems to be so inconsistent in the form of the way players do moves as compared to real life. Certain animations need to be sped up (Like the post spin move).

Has anybody else looked into this?

Michaelv was the only guy who did a mood for faster animations, but they were only for dunks and spin shots/layups. This is all we have

I'm not sure I noticed either Dee. Sometimes I think running dunks are slightly faster but without a clear memory of what they usually look like I could be imagining it. Really need a side-by-side video or something to clear it up.

Yeah, do people agree that in this game in general animation speeds are plain out of whack?

Floaty passes and slow gathers tend to be the most frustrating animations for me.

Yup. At that moment,I really could see the difference when I used the spinning layup move (sprint + double press of the shoot button). For the dunks part, I took it for granted.

I agree with this.

They claim to have patched the floaty passes... clearly they did not.

They may have for the opponent, but not for my team or me.

One of the patches supposedly sped them up, and then the next patch reportedly slowed them down. As it stands, we're stuck with the floaty ones (and cheap AI interceptions).
