Ultimate Base Roster?

Sorry, don't really know how all this modding stuff works. Is it possible for a UBR type mod to be released for 2k17? Other than the obvious fact that it takes a lot of work, is there anything stopping it from being made?

We're far more limited in what we can do as far as roster editing these days. That's the main hurdle.

Do you think it could happen for 2k17 or do we have to wait and hope for changes in 2K18 that would allow for the roster creation?

There definitely will be some nifty custom rosters - you can already find some, as you can see in the Releases & Previews section - but I wouldn't expect anything close to the depth and magnitude of UBR or URB with their multi-season roster packs, at least in the near future. You can keep up to date with the latest modding developments in the stickied thread in the Releases section.
