NBA 2k17 Roster Idea .. WhatIfBA

Hi everyone!

I was just day dreaming of a cool roster idea, wanted to see if it would ignite someone else's interest as well and that way we can build a team and have it done. I know majority of us all have work and other priorities, but if we work together, we can get things done... fairly quickly.

The idea I had was "what if".

I'll list some examples of the biggest what if's in the recent past.

1.) What if LeBron James elected to stay with the Heat and allowed Pat Riley a chance to re-tool with a growing salary cap. Thus, Andrew Wiggins for Love trade didn't happen, or maybe Cleveland still made the trade for Kevin Love hoping to pair Kyrie Irving up with another star to finally compete for a playoff spot?

2.) What if the Boston Celtics never dealt Paul Pierce and KG to the Brooklyn Nets? Brooklyn Nets still compete for a playoff spot and Boston stay's somewhat competitive for perhaps one last showdown vs Lebron and the Heat in 2014.

3.) What if the Lakers and New Orleans Trade wasn't Veto'd? How would Chris Paul and Kobe work? Thus allowing the Clippers to continue with the core of Eric Gordan, Blake and DeAndre.


As you guy's can see, I am not messing with the 'what if' factor when it comes to injuries. Just player decisions and trades.

What do you guys think? Obviously, most of these scenario's have multiple different options/paths and outcomes/reactions. If we are to work on this, maybe we can create a story line or two for the roster for users to play with and make decisions with in their season, mygm and my league.

It's a cool idea. Such a roster was made for NBA 2K14, so I'd say it's worth exploring again.

Really? I'll check in the forums and see who did that, maybe we can collaborate (though I'm not really good with these tools, I just switched over to PC now).

Another what if I had was, what if the Heat with LBJ made it to the finals 2015 to play against the Golden State Warriors. What would be the outcome?

Right now we're a lot more limited than we used to be when it comes to roster editing, but it should still be feasible to put something together.
