Adaptive Coach Engine?

Can anyone explain to me what this feature should do?
I believe it could be a feature which would automatically update points of emphasis during the game. Last year if you had those set to "Auto", the coach would automatically chose a star to play trough or another playing style, a rebounding style, even the pace of the game. This year, it seems the feature is either broken or is missing. When I select the points of emphasis menu, there is no feature automatically selected. Worse than that, if I manually chose a point of emphasis, the menu disappears and then when I open the PoE menu one more time, the selected style I chose is deselected. It's really hard for me to use the PoE features now.
Does anyone know how everything works this year?

That's a little bit disappointing. Why have an in-game PoE menu button when it's useless? Anyways, thanks for the info. At least I will not wait for a fix that isn't comming.

Seems it's been left in there due to oversight, since it's now redundant.
