It's funny. The other year everybody was ragging on the assistant coach that sounded like he had a bunch of saliva or something in his mouth. After I read comments about it, I couldn't un-hear it. I'd rather hear nothing than this year's assistant and his generic speeches. Using play by play commentary or showing some key replays would be better for the presentation, imo.
What about those amazing wide camera angles from under Brubaker?
On another note, I like that you can go to the trainer during a team practice and get a random conversation in My Career.
Yesterday I had a stationary angle from a few rows back during a timeout. During the "You're my Pippen, and you're my Jordan" part of the speech, Coach Brubaker pointed at Kenneth Faried both times. I can't speak for Justice Young, but I felt a little overlooked.
Nope, still nothing. I've seen this subject was brought up by a significant amount of people on OS forums. Literally, I haven't seen one single person saying they like this feature. I don't expect a patch where they give us the option to turn off this feature this year but I really hope this fake assistant coach is gone in 2k18. I want the real assisting coach on my bench.
It's a waste of time in a game that already takes too long. Unskippable timeout and halftime cut scenes were the worst in 2K16, especially when grinding for vc
you can remove this stupid idiot assistant coach in exhibition game and get the real assistant coach for both team doing this.
after you've selected the teams that you will play the game. don't pick any of both team as the user. the game will start. just before the tip off. push escape. choose a side for the team you wanna control and you will see on the bench the real assistant coach of the team you've selected.
I want to know who on the Dev team thought that this Assistant Coach "Speech" thing during the timeouts was a good idea... it actually makes me cringe...

"I don't know if I practiced more than anybody, but I sure practiced enough. I still wonder if somebody - somewhere - was practicing more than me." - Larry Bird
I'd bet there's even a secret dev option to turn it off. Why couldn't they just restrict it to MyCareer.... presentation? If anything it makes the presentation worse.
