When 2k15 came out, one of the main thing that made it unplayable for some is that speed and defense is broken, especially for those of us that plays against CPU instead of other people. It was also broken in 15, 16 and it remains broken in 17. At first you don't notice it because the speed and defense is fine for a little bit. Your players move at their rated speed, CPU plays on ball and regular defense. It usually plays fine when you load your first game, plays fine for the 1st quarter, first half, or so and you are thinking this is like the best game ever made!!!! But then for some unknown reasons, speed and defense breaks. I'm not sure if the graphic card adjusted or what but your players speed starts to become really fast and CPU no longer plays on ball defense or any defense at all. You can pretty much run around the court and just drive to the hoop at will. Some are calling this a speed boost glitch. If you don't notice then do this. Play the first half and you will notice that the speed becomes faster. Then decrease speed, acceleration, lateral quickness to 25 in slider for both user and CPU. You will notice that your players are still running around really fast. Then take it to the extreme and lower speed, acceleration and lateral quickness to 0. At first, it will feel slow but keep playing it for a few minutes and then you will notice that speed is broken and you are pretty much running around crazily fast even when it's set to 0 in slider. So disappointed in 2k. Some things just never get fix.

I gone through a few video card since 2k15 and the same thing happens when I upgrade graphic card. I think the game is broken but it seems that some of us experience it and others don't. Unless people are just not noticing it or they just don't care.

When I first load up a game, the gameplay will be fine for somewhere in between 5-10 min and then the speed breaks and any gameplay after that becomes super fast. This has happened to me since 2k15 and the same things happens even though I have upgraded my cpu and upgraded video cards. I assume the game is broken and others just don't mind the speed break.
