Mighty Mavs

The current Mavs seem to be a mighty team.

In 5 games against the 93-94 Rockets, the Mavs won by 40, 35 (those were with Mavs at home); 17, 15, 18 (with Rockets at home).

Can't remember which year Spurs team is in the game, but it's with The Admiral and Duncan. Mavs won at home by 24, and Mavs won on the road by 15.

Now it's Mavs (home) vs 97-98 Bulls (road). So far Mavs are up 70-66 in the 4th quarter.

These are CPU vs CPU games with 10 minute quarters and varying sliders so far. The Bulls vs Mavs game is using Shady Mike's sliders.

BTW, in NBA 2k17 John Brown is Randy Brown.

My brother and I used to call Randy "bullet head", because his head had a bullet shape. But when the Bullets changed their name to Wizards, we called Randy Brown "Wizzer".

The Mighty Mavs beat the 97-98 Bulls 91-89 with the Mavs at home.

Jordan was out most of the 4th quarter with an injury.

Dirk was the PotG with 16 points. Jordan had 22 for the Bulls. Pippen had 20, The bench is where the Bulls lost it. Mavs won in bench scoring 39-20. This Bulls team has the right bench players: Beuchler, Kerr, Wennington, Kukoc and Simpkins

Now it will be 97-98 Bulls at home vs the Mighty Mavs.

Bulls closed to within 2 with 6 seconds remaining, But instead of fouling, the Bulls let the Mavs pass the ball around to run out the clock.

The Mighty Mavs finally fell at home to 97-98 Chi. 79-72.

It's not the Mavs. It's the historic teams. The 2016 Magic beat the 93-94 Rockets by 32 points.

The historic teams have high overall ratings, but there's something about many of them that allow the mediocre current teams to beat those historic teams, which are supposed to be top teams from the NBA's history.

It's pretty clear the problem is the number of threes taken. The Mavs, and other 2016 teams, take 10+ more threes per game than teams like the Bulls.

The historic teams don't adjust to this, so there's the absurd result that a mediocre team like Dallas consistently beats the 97-98 Bulls and 93-94 Rockets.
