Talk about NBA 2K17 here.

No pre-order from me but as usual I will buy it on release date

I was pre-ordering... but after seeing the complete line-up of simian CAP Australian players... I think I'm redacting my vote for pre-ordering the Standard edition to wait & see... Was mostly excited about the possibility of FIBA stuff, but they've shown NOTHING addressing that mode and if they're just going to include a bunch of countries with CAP faces--like they've done with Euroleague & will continue to do with Euroleague--then there's really not too much I'm hyped about.
I'm sure 2k will manage to survive without my pre-order... and if I see the pros outweigh the cons, I'm sure I'll buy it eventually...

I pre-ordered yesterday.
Having the same hairstyles as last year is a stupid reason not to buy the game

Disappointing shoelace physics, however, remains a valid reason to cancel a pre-order.

Especially on LeBron Soldier X...

For the fist time ever I have not pre-ordered nba 2k. I did pre-order each and every nba 2k pc version since the launch in 2009. No particular reason why I did do it this year, but probably I am less hyped this year as there’s nothing major coming..
I will buy it the same minute its available in steam

Well i'm too old and weak for missing the Dream Team pre-order bonus, but i'm sure that new promises will be like last year "each team had it owns gameplay, look at the spurs, the classic pistons etc..."
but i'm sure too that i'll be playing 100 hours on it so

Scrap this, since I just pre-ordered nba 2k17 standard edition. I initially missed the fact that pre-order gives you 4 day early access.

It's looking like that'll become a standard pre-order bonus with 2K.

Pick a hairstyle you like and then cut your real hair so it looks exactly like your player.

Indeed, the most rational of all solutions.

Hey Andrew I'm with you all the way. I'm not hyped at all. I voted undecided because this prelude demo will determine a lot for me. If what they say is true in that you can break out of animations, then it may be a buy for me. But, because I'm so into Madden 17 this year and I'm also looking forward to BF1 and Gears of War 4, these 3 games are the primary games I'd like to focus on. We shall see.

Frozen after reading Forbes article
"For the first time, NBA 2K is actually delving into DLC for additional teams. That’s a pretty significant addition. I’ve long said I’d be willing to pay for extra teams–as long as they were of some value to the experience."

I'd be more interested in additional classic NBA teams - and even then, I'd prefer they be in the game from the start, not paid DLC - but that's still cool for anyone who's interested and willing to shell out the money. I may still end up getting them anyway.

Iam actually going a different route completely this year, il normally get the game on the release date last year I paid more for the early tip off but this year iam choosing to get the standard game the day after the UK release date and save myself £20 in doing this through Amazon. Yes my priorities may of changed in life but iam just not as hyped as I normally am.
(Edit - Also after pre ordering last year early I ended up having to work away and didn't even get to play on it till the wed after, complete waste of money.

The fact that the 1992 Dream Team won't remain a pre-order exclusive is good news for anyone doing that. If you really want it, you'll be able to pick it up at some point as paid DLC, so you don't have to miss out if you don't pre-order.

Step 1: hire the main modders from the modding community to stifle modding.
Step 2: sell basics as DLC.

Tue Sep 13, 2016 4:02 pm
Yes. Quoting Steam page:
Pre-Order NBA 2K17 Now to receive: 35,000 VC for NBA 2K16 (instant download) and Early Access (4 days before standard release)!

I just preordered off of GMG. Should the product code work in Steam yet? I get an invalid product code error. I was hoping to preload the game.
