Talk about NBA 2K17 here.

I've been pushing for MyLEFTOS mode for years now.

Oh I forgot about licensing. Does 2K have the FIBA license or does EA still have it?

International teams are in the game, so they definitely have the license. I figured that's why you made the suggestion.

I don't care about this empty game mode. You can choose your position, but you must be the go to guy of the team.
Just hope a real evolution on other aspects (AI, bugs, netcode, windows 10 anniversary support

) : in other words nowadays : no man's sky

I'd like both the idea of disabling the "story" in MyCareer and just play like the old-gen and the idea of different paths/stories.
My suggestion for the "storied-MyCareer" would be these:
~Pre-Draft
- At the start of the mode you get to choose different difficulties of the "entering the league" process (easy-medium-hard/rookie-star-hof)
- You go through some games in college, draft combine and pre-draft workouts and scrimmageS (not only one game).
- Your performance in these three stages would determine your position you are selected in the draft. The difficulty of this process would be related to the type of MyCareer you want to have. Easy difficulty should assure you a top-5 prospect kind of process if you have minimum experience with 2k games, and then just an scale taking account the number of different levels of difficutly.
~Options after college, draft combine and pre-draft workouts & DRAFT
a) You get selected top-15, and you can decide to play SummerLeague or go straight to the regular season.
b) You get selected 16-30. You must play SummerLeague and that will determine your rotation spot in the regular season.
c) You get selected in the 2nd round. You must play SummerLeague. An outstanding perfomance will assure you a roster spot. A normal performance could assure a filling roster spot with the team that drafted you or with another team. A poor performance in the SummerLeague (I mean, really poor, we don't want to destroy new player's hype) should sent you to the DLeague (if they want to add that), with a high chance of you being picked up by a team as much late as the All-Star break.
PLAYER'S PERSONALITIES
Just a quick preview of how 2k could handles this. Personality should affect everything. Options of answers in press-conference should be personality-related
a)Cocky: Gives boost to individual stats such as isolation stats, heating up fast, etc...
b)Humble: Gives boost to team chemistry, passing habilities, anti-freezing skills, etc..
You can think as many personalities as you want.

D-League should make a return. It would actually be a great way of easing new players into the game.

Solid suggestions, big-shot-ROB!

I really like the suggestions from big-shot-ROB & PeacemanNOT. Additionally to PeacemanNOT's suggestion: if you chose start with the top prospect then there should be better starting ovl but harder to increase it and attributes pattern can be more standardized (maybe with categories: All-Around, Defense, Offense), and if you chose to start from the bottom, then the upgrade of the attributes can be a bit easier on earlier stage and you can build more personal player because of small starting numbers in attributes: new Rodman with brilliant rebound and D skills and not so good passing, dribbling and shooting or some kind of Kendall Marshall-style PG with good 3PT and passing skills and not so good close\medium shots.

Indeed. Still waiting to hear more international teams confirmed. Is it possible to enter into a license with a particular national team and not FIBA itself? This is not likely the case. I bet they have some kind of agreement in place with FIBA. I just don't want to get too ahead of myself.

I'd assume that FIBA would have to be involved in some capacity in the licensing.

I'm expecting some cheesy scripted bullshit.
But i want a MyCAREER that means that MY decisions affect MY career/team/consequences. I want it to be like sandbox type game where i can interact with the NBA landscape.

That's the frustrating thing about NBA 2K16. That's what you get, from Year 2 onwards. It's slogging through the first year that's the problem.
