I haven't seen an overstatement this big since Ronnie2K's "Greatest game on the planet" statement.

Looks like the PC patch has come through.

PATCH 1.11 THIS IS THE DARKEST TIMELINE.

Apparently it's intended to resolve the matchmaking issues many of us have been experiencing. Good news.

Updated the first post with info on Patch 1.11.

Patch is out now on Xbox One and PC; 2.7 GB and 39.5 MB respectively.

Question - I just bought the game (PC version) via steam.
Are the patches downloaded and installed automatically or do I have to download them somewhere manually? Haven't played NBA2k for the last 3 years. So how do I update the game with patches? Thanks!

Have you been releasing rosters? I used yours a while back ago.

Looks like another patch is coming, seemingly implementing some last gameplay tweaks before everything else has to wait for NBA 2K18. Possibly, anyway. No word on this being the last patch for NBA 2K17, but it wouldn't surprise me, as I'm a little surprised we're receiving one more big one.

Producers looking at tons of COMMUNITY feedback for GAMEPLAY right now. They're analyzing it all for an upcoming patch. More info soon.

that's good news, but it's hard to be optimistic. offline sim heads haven't gotten any real attention so far... i don't really see that changing here. if they attacked the defense, fast breaks, double teams and ai speed boosts i would be absolutely elated.

Maybe they nail it, who knows.

Good. One last chance to break the game more than the other updates/patches have. Why is it I get nervous every time and update is announced?

Good to hear, Andrew. I normally really dislike patches (which is why I am not using the original .exe), but the fact that they are seriously taking our gameplay feedback and talking about implementing it is awesome.

If they can resolve issues with the cheap charging calls, lapses in defensive AI, and some of the balance issues, it should hopefully be a solid experience leading up to NBA 2K18.

The real trick will be balancing things so both offline and online gameplay feels good. Both are important, but differences in the experiences mean that tweaks for one don't always work for the other.

Sounds like it might be out on all platforms. Good news.

Updated the first post with release date info and patch notes:

• Improvements to double team logic for more appropriate rotations and to prevent help defenders from leaving their assignments.
• Enhanced several dribble size-up combos to make them more responsive when chaining moves together.
• Improved logic for off-ball collisions to prevent excessive bumping, resulting in a smoother offensive flow.
• Removed select dribbler collision reactions that would slow down the ball handler when contact was made from behind.
• Offensive AI enhancements for better decision making when countering double teams.
• Fixed an issue that would allow you to travel if rapidly chaining together certain rhythm dribble animations.
• Fixed an issue that was preventing some players from signing a 10-day contract in MyGM/MyLEAGUE.

Da_Czar has also posted some expanded notes over on Operation Sports.

That's the 2k I love. Finally, some AI logic improvements. Well done guys, if anyone is reading this

Looking forward to trying it out. Unfortunately no mention of a fix for the cheesy charges, though.
