Helping me choose where to lean on for gaming.

Tue Jan 03, 2017 12:34 pm

Well it's been 3 months and I still haven't touched this game, and still don't have what I need to play it. It's been tough not to be in the fun but also I'm able to view all the bugs and glitches rendering the game unplayable. I don't play online because I'm really bad at playing, and I don't have friends playing, so an offline experience is what I basically want. Also, as you know, I love my own mods, and hopefully I'll be able to start modding this game and seeing my work in game at settings much better than console. What should I do as of now.

a. Get a full setup for just under $500. FHD monitor, 8gb RAM, fast AMD Quad-Core, 1050Ti (or maybe better) and upgrade when needed.

b. Wait for the Nintendo Switch and get a good offline experience with it and share it with friends on the bus rides.

c. Get a moderate laptop and do some modding for older games, and maybe run 2K15 on it.

What do you feel like doing the most? What's most within your budget?

Well I at least want something that works and beats the console for the next few years. The max I'll probably do is max US$440.

Well, that would seem to eliminate option two, at least.

With $440 it's hard to make a good lasting build. AMD CPUs are currently dead, slow and obsolete and an Intel i3 is around $100 itself.

I'd recommend either going for used parts - just yesterday I saw a guy get beast gaming PC for under $600 by getting used parts.

Well, with about $440, you can make a decent build to run NBA game at least, at medium. I reccomend using AMD Athlon X4 or Intel i3-6100 and for the graphic card 4GB's RX 460.

For playing online, why don't you add me on steam? We can play together. My friends doesn't play NBA 2K17, so i know how you feel :D
