Got it!

I got it!!! Just played two games. My initial impressions? This game is a different animal than 2k16. Animations are much smoother and gameplay has a different feel than previous installments. In fact, in some ways, it reminds me of NBA Live. The feel of shooting the ball has completely changed, especially on three pointers. But the game is really enjoyable, and I didn't want to stop long enough to write this. Steals are much easier than before and breakaway dunks and putback dunks are more enjoyable than ever. Also, I'm loving the new coach scenes during timeouts. Even the referee voices and animations are more dynamic. And the halftime show is much better this year. Instead of dancing girls there's now a slam dunk exhibition. I'll post more thoughts after I've played more games.

How is the defense behind picks and contested 3's ? Does the CPU still make most of them? And weakside defense, do players rotate to the lane as they should? And last but not least, has the offensive rebounding bug, been fixed? Thanks for the replies....

I haven't had the CPU make a contested 3-pointer on me yet. Defense, as with everything else, has a much better flow an intuitiveness this time. Blocked shots, rebounds, steals, all flow more naturally than before. Rebounds are a thing of beauty, mostly because taller players now have the ability to leap over smaller ones. Centers, for example, can leap up and slam the ball directly over the heads of guards, just as they can in real life. And I have not seen any rebound bugs as yet.

I just caved and ordered 2k17 from Amazon and paid the extra for the next day delivery, I was gonna hold out till wed to order but hey what ya gonna do I haven't ever missed a release date in all my years lol
