Display Driver nvlddmkm.sys stopped working and successfully recovered

Tue Feb 21, 2017 5:21 am

Basically, while playing, 2k17 will just crash to desktop.
Looking at Event Viewer of Windows, will find
"Display Driver nvlddmkm.sys stopped working and successfully recovered"

Anyone encountering this problem?
I encounter this issue while playing NBA 2k17.
I've been looking and trying different fixes but nothing seems to work.
Maybe I could ask someone playing the same game (you guys) who also encounter this crashing issue.
TIA

Are you overclocking GPU?

Other than that DDU and install latest driver. If problem persists, DDU and try driver before that one. If problem still persists, DDU and install driver before that one. etc etc

ah no. I don't know how to overclock a GPU.

And really, the only game I play, NBA2k. I believe GPU doesnt need to be overclocked for NBA2K.
I tried the DDU approach, but only tried 3 versions i think.
I tried:
-The latest driver
-the popular driver i read in forums
-and the one that came from the MSI website. (My laptop is MSI gt62vR GRE Dominator Pro, GTX 1070)

I haven't tried what you said. one driver at a time, DDU style. I'll give it a shot.
