Durability Slider question (not durability player rating)

Does increasing the said slider increases wear and tear or decreases it?
Im so confused when I googled it some saying it does the opposite. I want confirmation from the long time people here.

My understanding is that the higher the slider, the more durable players are/the less likely they are to be injured.
