Sorry for the crappy video but I thought I'd share this in here. Anyone else have an issue with clipping meaning are you able to let it go and tolerate it since IMO, everything else in the game is solid?

I agree with you. I have been really enjoying the game for the most part - some frustration in 2K Pro-Am aside - but this was one of the things that was supposed to be improved, and it really doesn't appear to be better than last year. Like you said, clipping is pretty hard to eliminate completely, but it's a bit disappointing since the developers did make a point of mentioning it in previews.

Thank you. I'm trying to be that way instead of just going on mad rants

See since I'm not on Twitter nor do I follow much of the development of these games anymore, I was unaware that the devs had mentioned improving the clipping. TBH with you, the clipping is the worse I've seen in any 2K game and the sad part is this isn't anything that can be patched (I don't think). Oh well. Maybe next year...

It's been bad for years and it's worse with the dunks. The hands almost never properly grasp the rim and always clip right through at weird angles.
This seems to be a case of, let's tell people it's fixed and see if they believe us, even though we didn't touch a thing.

I don't notice AS MUCH as last year, but I see it. The dunks this year are worse than last year though with it (Dunks where a player is hanging on to nothing, or his hand is through the rim/net). I think the gameplay is better/smoother/more reactive this year in general, which is why I am not noticing the clipping as much.

So would you guys agree that the clipping is actually worse this year? But like Dee4Three said, the gameplay is so much better that for me, I'm willing to ignore (as much as possible) especially since I'm just an offline sports gamer nowadays anyway. If I were running leagues or playing online, this would bother me more.

Yeah, I'd agree that the gameplay experience is better, so I probably wouldn't say that it ruins everything. There are moments when it's a factor of course, and it's disappointing - especially given the pre-release claims that it had gotten better - but it doesn't make the game unplayable or anything.
