Should we start a thread on who's gotten the game yet?

I got an early email today from Green Man Gaming with the Steam code and 2K17 locker code. Putting it into Steam allowed me to download an 111mb file. Steam says download is complete but waiting for release to unlock.

111mb cannot be the total size of 2K17 though...

I'll be playing in 12 hours! Downloaded it on PS4 yesterday. I'll be posting my first impessions after I've played a couple games.

Well, if I can somehow hack and unlock it... LOL. I don't get why they won't let me download the entire game and preload it though. It'd be a lot less demand for their servers than the 12:00 rush tonight.

Pretty much all Keysellers send out Keys, but without a Preload its useless. I'll be playin in like 2 Days from the Release later...

Got my key, so the pre-load begins. PS4 copy is reportedly in transit and should be here today. So I haven't quite got it, but sort of have, and soon will, I guess.

looks i maye out of lock. i have heard from the cdkey, i just went to check the site, its now makred the game eu region. that was not there when i orodered the game several days ago. im going to try and wait a day and see if they respond.

I wasn't aware the standard edition came with a cap. I'm not exactly a Kobe fan, but hey, free stuff on top of the couple of in-game bonuses for the standard edition. PC version is still downloading.

I'll be playing in less than 5 minutes!!!

WELP.. just bought it. haven't been paying attention to any of the reviews/hype, so not sure what folks out there are saying about /17. so when do we get to play...Sept 20?

I got it!!! Just played two games. My initial impressions? This game is a different animal than 2k16. Animations are much smoother and gameplay has a different feel than previous installments. In fact, in some ways, it reminds me of NBA Live. The feel of shooting the ball has completely changed, especially on three pointers. But the game is really enjoyable, and I didn't want to stop long enough to write this. Steals are much easier than before and breakaway dunks and putback dunks are more enjoyable than ever. Also, I'm loving the new coach scenes during timeouts. Even the referee voices and animations are more dynamic. And the halftime show is much better this year. Instead of dancing girls there's now a slam dunk exhibition. I'll post more thoughts after I've played more games.

Well, I ended up deploying on two production servers last night, so I'll be getting to NBA 2K17 later today.

I got it!!!

So steam version is unlocked? Tried it @12:50 EST (2hours 10minutes ago) and it was still in locked state.

Just checked out the situation (word of advice, don't go to steam forums, I felt my IQ was dropping when I was there) and it seems like NBA 2K17 will be following standard Steam release time: 10 AM PST (also known as 5 PM UTC).

For those who have the game already (console version), is it possible to trade the members of the '92 Dream Team to the current teams? Thank you.

You don't have to sit through them. As before, you can pretty much skip through timeouts. However, you'll also be able to make loads of adjustments, both offensively and defensively, during timeouts. And I haven't bothered with the Dream Team yet. I should clarify, I have the game on PS4. I was able to play it at 11:00pm last night, instead of 12:00am as I originally thought.
